Vin on SS coded block

    On my Stage 1,the SS code letters are spaced apart about 1/4 inch from each other.I tend to believe this is how they stamped the engine prefixes.

    Another thing:the distributor numbers for a 1970 Stage 1 should read like this: 1112016

    Sure sold for a few bucks.

    I guess the Kansas plant never got all the instructions on the type of markers & font to use (since they weren't supposed to have stage 1 parts anyway). I especially like the scrunched first "S", it has that hand etched look to it for that personalized look.
