Transmission swap question .

    Will a 200r4 bolt to a 66 300 cu. in. motor without an adapter ?

    If it's a Buick or multi bell 200r yes

    Yes (as stated above). Same yoke, cross member will need to go back 6 3/8". You may need 12V depending how the lock-up converter is set up.

    Thanks guys , the ST 300 in my 66 is getting tired , I have had the 2oo for a while , time for an upgrade .

    Yes as far as I know all the 2004R trans are multi bolt pattern

    Bolt up, yes; but will the little 300 CID be able to support it, I don't know. The smallest thing that the 2004R was behind was the 4.1 liter (252 CID) 4 barrel... DUH !!! Well I certainly HOPE that 300 CID will support it; about the BIGGEST stock engines that the 2004R was behind was the whimpy Olds 5.0 (307) and almost as whimpy Chevy carbed 5.7 (350) of that era... NEVER MIND>>>> I was thinking 3.0 liter...

    Yes, I made that swap a few years ago and couldn't be happier. I kept it in there when I put
    my 340-4 in. Great combo in there now. Just put in posi 3.36 gears last year, so the full driveline
    matches up. Love it!! Based on your cars listed it looks like something you will be able to handle.
    I highly recommend the B&M lockup kit for ease of driving. Set it and forget it.
