ladies & gentlemen- from the years 1950-2003, in your opinion,
what is/was the ugliest car manufactured ?
my choice , i have 2 , are the pontiac aztec & the french citroen !

pretty much any GM after 1996.

 

I have to vote for the Pontiac Aztec. But.... some of the early 60's Valiants are really ugly. especially the one that has the toilet ring on the trunk lid! Older guys will know which one I am talking about! Brian

 

The Citroen is awful. So is the Toyota mini-van from mid 80's that came with undersized tires. But the champ has to be the car Ward Cleaver drives when the Beaver is about 12 or 13.
Is that a Plymouth Valiant? My daughter, who cares little about cars, commented on it. 1964 or so...

Hey, if you see an Aztec while up here in Canada, we didn't buy those. Tim Hortons were giving them away in a contest ! Go figure. As for my 2nd pick, how about the car that thought it was a fish. The amphicar or something like that! aagghh:blast:

Id agree that AMC put out some of the UGLIEST cars ever produced..the PACER, the late 70s AMX (i actually owned a 77 AMX!), the Marlin, The THING, Rebel, Javelin...the list goes on...ICK!

Hey, Marlins are cool! But I bet a lot of people think my 71 Riviera is ugly too. Some people come up and tell me that they used to hate 71 rivs when they came out, but now that its 30 years later they like them.

I would vote for

1. Toyota Echo

2. Pontiac Aztec

3. Early 80's Ford Fairmont 2-door

4. 97 Ford F-150

5. 70's-80's Mercedes (I hate those tail lights)


Their are to many 80's import's to even list so I didn't bother.

I always thought the 2nd Gen T-birds (say 1960) were pretty fugly.

Talk about from riches to rags.
