This might not be a popular opinion, but here goes: I am a Buick fan. I want all sorts of Buicks. But none of them are made anymore. I want a '98 Riviera. I want a 1970 GSX. I want other Buicks too. But they aren't made anymore. For all the support Buick gives old (read: discontinued) car owners, they may as well not exist. If Buick ceased to exist as a car maker, I wouldn't like it, but the impact on my hobby would be nil.
Imagine something like this with rear wheel drive and a v8. I would like one, and I'm a younger guy (still in my 20's). ________ Child paxil

Yes, I also realize that there was a Buick Luxus! :eek2: I saw this movie a couple of years ago on cable. Gene Hackmann was in it. He picks his elderly parents up at the airport and takes them home. The parents were in "someplace warm" all winter. His dad says something like, "How's my Buick? Great car, huh?" Hackmann, who drove a Mustang, says, "Dad, you like Buicks. I don't." I have always felt they should have offered the LeSabre & Park Avenue in 2 door models! Even a wagon!
To answer your question....YES !! it bothers me that my neighbor has a GS400 sitting in his driveway....and its made by LEXUS. Also bothers me that the SportWagon name gets used too. I believe suzuki ?? also has a bike thats GSxxx Doesn't BUICK own the right to thses names ??? George - Buick is reportedly going to get the first Zeta platform car.....the Velite or some rendition of it. Liek I said....prolly way over the price point anyone would spend. I see quite a few Rondezvous's and just saw my first Rainier on the road. While the ROndezvous does fill a niche, the Rainier has too many stable-mates to make it - Trailblazer, Envoy, Saab 97-x, and Isuzu ascender. What REALLY bothers me is that Isuzu offers a 7/70,000 factory warantee on the same "truck" GM offers a 3/36 on uzzled: ou:
That's what I would think..........it makes me wanna puke, the thought of our heritage being plastered onto japcrap. The first one that got me was when Ford and Mercury started using gs on some of their models back in the 80's. Those cars are an insult to the name! :rant: I swear if I ever see the Riviera badge on some SUV or something made by any other company but Buick I'll break out the big guns!! :blast:
