Yup, get this new S/P intake going viral now! :Smarty:, you know what they say..... Pictures are worth a thousand words!
Can someone post up a link to the picture that is floating around of the SP3. I would like to see it. Tim
I saw it in person, I have no idea why I didn't snap a picture. It looks almost the same as an SPX intake for the 455, just a tighter package.
I noticed its a square bore flange. I hope Qjet flange will still be available on the production model.
Don't you want to run boost? Haven't seen to many blow through Q-jets, wouldn't the boost hold the secondaries closed? Derek
The Q jet is for sure a challenge to use for boost... Ken from everyday performance used a modded q jet successfully just to prove it can be done... He had a turbo setup on his 72 for a while...
Did it work better or even as good as a square bore carb or just good enough to prove it would work? Derek
That has got to be the best looking intake manifold in the entire industry regardless of my Buick and TA bias.
I am not sure how measurable the comparison could be made between the Q jet and asquare bore Holley but I am certainly not interesting in making a Q jet work... I love them but for a boosted application I am calling CSU for a custom carb.
I gave Rob a KILLER deal on a set of Hershe rods to help him get a kick ass 350 together so I really hope he gets it done! Rob does amazing work with stock parts, so his 350 is going to be very potent!
Rob. Build a 350. Derek I do have another 350 n/a with ta 310 cam that I would like to see how manifold works in that combo. And might want the option later on.
Didn't the very first generation Turbo V6's use a Q-jet? Think it was 1978 or so. They used a 2 and 4 bbl with the turbo charger.
