Greg Schmelzer What are you looking at?!

Sometime last night between midnght and noon today, someone stole Eric's Dakota from the driveway right in front of the house.

This thing is unmistakeable, as it is one of a kind here in the Omaha area.

    1999 Dodge Dakota
    Purple
    Lifted 6"
    33" tires
    Brush guard on the front
    4" Driving lights
Nebraska license plate # NOX 524

If anyone sees this thing rolling around, please call the Omaha Police Department at (402)444-5652, report # 34080E.

    Thanks all

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

    Here is a pic.

Yeah, wouldn't ya know it, and here I am on vacation.

If the cops find the person/persons responsible i plan to press charges to the fullest extent of the law. If it turns out to be some low life teenager I may press charges against his/her parents as well. If I cant press charges against the parents I'll definatly sue for damages/court costs/ lawyer fees.

Either way the f______g scum will pay.      :af: :af: :af: :af: :af:

The part that really sucks is theat the previous insurance lapsed at the end of last month and the new policy does not go into effect untill next Mon.

Problem is if it wasn't teenagers out for a joy ride the truck is already in a million pieces. Either being used to build up another one or sold off as parts. Id check ebay for any identifiable parts. Ebay is the chop shop of 2000. Not much you can't steal and part out easily on ebay without risking much.

Man you guys are having the worst luck

    Greg, Eric:

I don't know what we can do here, but, we will keep our eyes peeled.

Hope they catch the scum that did this. It seems to be the next big fad in crime to steal somebodies pride and joy. Wish they'd go back to stealing brand new cars for the parts(just not my truck, please).

Good Luck with all that is going on in both of your lives, and we're praying (pullin', too) for ya

i agree with some of these guys. with a truck like that...youll find it in a garage or warehouse with everything of value stripped and sitting on blocks. when people steal modified vehicles like that..they have no desire to sell off or keep the vehicle intact. its too risky. theyll just sell the parts to someone local or on ebay. sad reality is anymore they dont want your entire car really...just the parts off of it.

    Eric,
Dude you are so right! Nail them to the wall! HANG EM HIGH! Don't let anyone else tell you different! My Brother in law had his car stolen and when they found it and the Kid that was driving it ,the Police asked my Brother in law to be easy on him...he is a "GOOD KID".."This is the First time he has been in trouble with the Law" I couldn't belive what I was hearing! My Brother in law did take it easy on him and guess what ? The Kid turned out to be a Son of one of the Township's Lawyers and three years later he was sent to jail for 6 years for Stealing a car and robbing a store with a Gun in the next town over!! If he had been taken care of in the first place just maybe he would have learned a lesson! PRESS IT TO THE LIMIT! :blast: .I really don't understand Parents who go easy on their kids when they do get in trouble like that! I could never understand why People find it so easy to just steal some thing from someone else! Too Lazy to work for it themselves..... You can call me alot of things but a thief is not one of them!
I am really bummed for you Guy!
I Hope it is recovered in the same shape as it was before it was taken!
Here is what I feel about stealing :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :blast: :blast: :blast: :af: :af: :af: :af: :blast: :blast: :blast: :spank: :spank: :spank:
