Stainless Steel N25 tips

Hi Guys'n Gals! I am considering producing another 8 sets of my infamous HAND formed, infusion welded and highly polished N25 stainless steel exhaust tips!!!.... (hundreds sold since 1994!) However, before I go ahead and pay the ridiculous almost $600 price tag for a polished 4x8 sheet of stainless:eek2: ( I can cut 8 sets out of a sheet) Soo, how many would like a set or two?? $328/set SHIPPED to any lower 48: 2-1/2 inch and 3 inch, 6-8 weeks...just in time for spring!!! :Brow: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

If I didn't have them already Id jump at a set now.

 

ya see..... I saw your plea but...the fab-shop that diecuts these out for me, has a minimal die charge..so 8 sets from a full sheet, meets that requirement. I wish I could but its just not feasible to make just one set. Wheelz, Tampa Bay

I am not in a hurry for these. I can certainly wait until you get enough requests. I probably won't need these for 12-16 months. I'm just stocking up on parts that will be required when I can get my hands on them.

are these 409 or 304 SS?
since you mentioned polished I'll assume 304
if you'll still have them after the 17th i'll be interested for 3in

THANX for the kudos Dave! and YES, these are delicately cut out of expensive 304T polished sheet stainless . . .I used to know what the "T" means, nevertheless, that is the material I purchase. At this point, I have interest on 4 sets..., IF I can pre-sell just a few more sets, I can order materials to begin production! SOOO. . . how about it?? Anyone else? ray:

I will prolly build 3 sets 3" and 5 sets 2-1/2 " BUT I REALLY dont wish to guess, so Ryan, Nothingface, tell me, KNOW WHAT SIZES YOU GUYS WANT: 2-1/2" or 3"?

Hey Wheelz- INfusion welded? Melted together? Kewl!

 

Wheelz put me in for a set of 2.5.

 

UPDATE...

FIRST: Hey FRANK, yea, INFUSION welding is, in essence, melding materials together using electrical amperage or gas. A more recognized term would be Heli Arc. Either way, melding or MELTING parts together is what welding is. :beer THATs what I have always been told anyway. :TU:

SECOND: My supplier AND Laser cutting buddy, (he laser cuts these pieces out of the sheet) . . . has just advised me a full sheet of "304 16 GA stainless steel, Machine buffed-to a #8 mirror finish" has more-than-doubled-in price since my last order on Jan 09. Ugh. PLUS... he is having difficulty locating a distributor who will sell a SINGLE full sheet in the entire SE at this point... he is still researching.

Sheeeesh. Stuff like this used to be fun.
