pro tour gsx and gobuick: You guys have done a great job on your motors!

gobuick: Did you powder coat your air cleaner lid or buy it that way? I like that look better than the chrome on mine.

I did, as well as the grill, headlight buckets, tail lights, dash pieces, bucket seat sides & a few other things. I also tried the chrome top & didn't like it.

    It's a silver with a matte finish.

Right after I swapped in the 231 accessory bracket's for the stock A/C. That radiator hose has been replaced :) I'm actually back to a black coil/cap too.

    I Know I know.... Let's hear it....

But being I have the born with engine (to put back in, say when I am 90, and want to sell ?) and a couple of 67 400 engines waiting for a later date, I figure why possibly break those blocks, as I do like to nail here and there, well all the time.... so being I have three old(s) a 410SBO solid web w/filled block, a 461BBO, and the one in the Buick now, a BBO 468 with 544 HP @ 5700/568 lbs @ 4400.
I can have all the fun I want and save these RARE Buick Pieces for when their needed...

Ok I think I have covered my a$$ enough, I hope

Thanks! The plug wires are supposed to stay on the valve cover prongs, but they keep coming off, so I just leave them like that. They stay cooler, I guess. :Dou:

At least it doesn't have a GIANT A/C box on the firewall. That's the perfect start to an old-school drag car. No power brakes, no power steering, no A/C. Makes me wish that's what I started out with.
