Definitely going to try to get there.. Car has never been on the track, curious to see what it will do. Would like to give it a shakedown closer to home beforehand.
Yep, either there, Atco or Cecil. Will have to check out the spring schedules once they are announced.
Thank you Steve, It was from a cover shoot for SK Speed catalogue In I think 2011. I really like your 73. Hope to see it at a local to us Vuick meet next year in northeast at one of the tracks. It’s been a long while since I attended Cecil wbuick group.
That’s awesome. Reminds of the Conduit race cars back in 80s-early 90s. Rough n ready. Weldon’s blue 68 GS. RIP Weldon Father and Sons 70 skylark. Black convertible w white top and biggest wheel wells. And of course the Electra 225 contingent. Electra’s were lookers and flew.
Wow, cool cover Chris. Although not necessarily Buick specific, SK is pretty legendary and one of the last of the survivors on Long Island when it comes to speed shops. Thanks for the comment on my 73, mechanicals are pretty much set but still a work in progress body wise. Definitely will be at some Buick meets next year. As a fellow Long Islander, maybe will also see you around at Bellmore or some of the shows next year.
Enjoy your car as it is. It looks great. My Buick slowly gets done too. Just had bumpers done finally and one has a blemish. My Chevelle paint is 40years old. Some rust andcrust on it.no paint shop for it. Enjoy them as is.keepem running and race em too.
Thanks. Agree 100%...I'm sure everyone would like to have a flawless ride, myself included, but my goal is just to have the car presentable and run pretty strong. I have some paint discoloring, which I can live with but do want to fix the chips before they start to rust and, more importantly, a couple of rust spots that are on the trunk where I put some milk crates holding brake and power steering fluid and it leeched through and rusted some spots.
464, Scott Brown solid lifter cam, 11 to 1 with open headers. Sadly, the following weekend after my son took this video one of the rods ripped thru the oil pan after 17 years of racing and street miles. Putting together a mostly stock 455 now so I can drive it again. It will be a while before I can build it back up again. Ken
