Nice setup but still 2k. I need to post some pictured of my setup done. The motor is a part for some pistons and cam swap.

i used the same power steering pump. do you know if he made that waterpump pulley or used it from another make? we had to make our out of a piece of aluminum. i ran the tensioner on the other side but that looks like a nice setup. def better doing that than spending 2k on a kit.

finished serpentine belt setup on nailhead.. on the cheap!!

i finished my serpintine belt setup for my nailhead. i used a GN crank pulley($30) that i redrilled. i used a powermaster 1 wire alternator($90) toyota idler pulley(free)tensioner and bracket was made(free). power steering pump from a chrysler 3.3 (free)can get one for $40 from the junk yard. March water pump pulley($100) serpintine belt($28).I spent $250 and did the machine shop work in house so i didnt have to pay but the brackets are easy.. firgure if anyone want to upgrade you power steering/ alternator this is a cheap way to do it.

hopeing to have it running for you when you come down. i have already fired it up but needed to drain the gas. i have a bunch of little things to get it going. I didnt want to run it without the power steering pump hooked up so the fittings just came in so i can make the lines. i still need to setup the rear third member since i blew the last one up.. three holeshots in the driveway and destroyed the gears..(i had someone set up the last set) i bet a good 15 hours of work time to get things done . I just have to find the time, i help coach hockey so i am on the ice almost everyday. i would love to be able to take it for a ride around before christmas!!

Go for it! The worst part was affording parts and having the motor rebuilt the second time because I knew the stock build I did wouldn't hold. That's why it has took so long for me. I am just a normal blue collar guy that has a mortgage and very little to none disposal income. I have to hustle to get money for the car. But every day I get one thing done is one day closer to getting it done

other than looks nice and easier to maintain (once mods are in place), what is the value of serpentine vs. old belt drive set-up?

for me it was looks, space and the availabilty to put the alt, power steering pump and a/c compressor any where i wanted. On my gs the alt was high on the pass side and with the arp studs would not work with the factory alt bracket. I like the more modern look also. when i put this motor together i wanted the accesories not the be the focus of the motor instead i wanted the turbo and the natural great look of this engine to get reconized. i wanted to builda modern Buick Nailhead. This car is a much more modern build with a a goal of a modern ride quality and handleing/braking of a today sportscar/supercar with a muscle car interior and powerplant.
