I have a rebuilt 73 455 with 70 heads and intake with a small scnieder cam shaft for sale with a TH400 Switch pitch trans (built by Fred Catlin) and a set of new Poston headers (black) here it run and drive. The engine has maybe 200 miles and the trans was about 12000 miles. headers have never left the garage All of this can be dropped in and runs great with a set of frame pads $2500 Aaaannnddd Noone will make fun of you cause you put a junk chevy motor in your car. :rant:
THATS a Deal :TU: Even though its more than your "Recon" motor, its got the SPtrans (which you could sell if you dont want it) AND its got 70 heads.....you'll make ALOT more power with those than any 73-76 heads you're likely to get.

I don't know about out in the woods, but it sure put the fear of gawd into the guinea pigs on day one - she snatched one out of the pen and "took it for a ride" faster than anything I've ever seen! Rowrff! I'm just REAL glad my daughter wasn't in the room at the time. (now I'm gonna hear from PETA, the annoying ones...)
Im definately interested, could you give me a few more in depth details as to the motor. Whats all in it. Did you build it yourself, etc.
Its a std bore 73 or 4 engine block with all std bearings. It has a small schneider cam hydralic with a set of stock 455 heads. They were a stock valve job too. I took it all apart, installed new bearings and rings myself. It was to go in a 70 GSX I had at the time and when it sold the guy did not want the engine. So I shelved it for awhile and then a friend wanted it for his car as a driver motor to get his car set up so its in his Prostreet car now so he could make it move on its own power. He has bought a heathier engine for his ride so I will be getting this one back. It has 70 heads from a real gsx if thats worth anything (NOT) anyway the intake is a 70 also with a Q jet. Runs decent not a RACE MOTOR but is a solid driver and will peel the 15x 33's on the back of his Prostreet car. MAkes camming sounds when running but not too radical at all.

thats what i wanted to hear , im heavily leaning towards getting this one off of your hands, but i cant give u a definate answer til this weeks up, im selling a roadmaster to my buddy and ive been doing a lot of ot so im gonna have to work on the cash situation, and the going to kansas to get this thing situation, will keep you posted
ok racebuicks, im getting the money in my hand for the car on thursday. i will have to see when i can come and pick it up. i start 3-11's on friday and work until next thurs, i have friday off and start dayshift saturday. will next friday be OK?
There's a chevy short block in my 71 right now. The day I get the car home it's getting ripped out and the compartment prepped for a 455/TH400. Keep it all Buick, you'll go quicker. Take it from somebody who races every day the track is open :TU:
