Just wait until you see the pics of the parts that I did. I have just completed testing of the product. I stuck in bolts, nuts, brackets for the 71-72 water bottles, plates that hold down the engine wiring harnesses, plastic, rubber, and anything else I could find.

All I can say is DAMN.......this stuff works. The metal I dropped in was so rusty that it was actually puffy and flaking off. NO RUST NO WHERE now. AMAZING.

    Alan,
I saw your post on George's list, I see that you listed 2.5 gal for $29, did I see this correctly? if so I'm in for a 2.5 gal instead of the 1 gal I mentioned before

    Rust stuff

I think that's correct. I have it in my notes from my conversation with the rep, but its not on my price sheet I have. I'll double check and make sure.

    Thanks,

    Alan

    count me in

Alan, I was bouncing between the 1 gallon and the 5, but if there is a 2.5, put me down for that.
If you could confirm the prices please though, as I noticed
the prices you sent to George's list vary a little from the ones in this thread.
Either way, I still want some. Just let me know how you'd like payment when your ready.

Thanks for your dedication to the hobby!

    Re: count me in

I will. And the prices are lower I sent to George's list because I've told the man. that a lot were interested and they took a little more off so I get to take a little more off for you guys. Here's the pricing.

    1 Gallon $22 (instead of $25)
    4 1 gallon jugs $72 (instead of $80)
    1 5 gallon bucket $80 (instead of $90)

I'm also checking to see if the 2.5 gallon one really exists and what its cost is.

Here's a link to some before and after pictures of a few parts I did. NOTE that the rust remover does NOT take off paint or grease. After derusting, simply remove the paint with a stripper. PRIOR to derusting, clean with a degreaser.

Pretty impressive, huh? Also, I've had rubber and plastic sitting in this stuff for 3 days and no affect at all.

PLEASE PM OR EMAIL OR CALL ME WITH YOUR ORDERS!

I've got 1 gallon and 5 gallon coming already, but don't know if I have enough. I PROMISE you this stuff will put a smile on your face if you have to mess with rusty parts!

    Again, prices are

    1 gallon $22
    Box of 4 1 gallon jugs $72
    1 5 gallon bucket $80

I'm guessing shipping as follows: 8.95 for 1 gallon, $11.95 for 4 gallons and $12.95 for the 5 gallon bucket. Once I ship a couple, I'll know exact pricing. If shipping is $1 or more less, this will be reimbursed to you as its not my intention to profit on shipping.

    Answers on Structural Parts

Here's the answers I got to questions regarding the chelation process's affect on structural parts and carbon. First, the product is not designed to be used to remove carbon and will not be effective in that regard because it doesn't work well.

With regard to structural parts, the Rust Remover has NO impact on structural parts in that it does NOT promote hydrogen embrittlement. HOWEVER, it will likewise not harden a part or replace metal that was rusted away and removed by the product. Thus, if the spring or A-arm or Control Arm was not badly rusted, it will maintain the same structural integrity as before placement in the rust removing solution. BUT IF the part had significant rusting, then it could be weakened by the metail removed due to removal of the rust. Of course, the metal would be weakened from rusting anyway. YOU MUST INSPECT YOUR PARTS to make sure that the rust itself hasn't damaged them. Think of it this way, if your entire fender is 80% rust, then the solution will remove (dissolve) 80% of the fender.

One more thing about the product itself, after the rust is gone, the product will draw out carbon from the surface of the steel (especially carbon steel)l. This carbon will appear as a dark black fluid on the part mirroring ink. THIS only happens to the very top surface where the product contacts the now natural steel. IT DOES NOT GO any further and is not dangerous. The manufacturer suggests not leaving carbon steel in the solution for days on end to avoid having to clean this mess off the part when you extract it from the solution. Remember, this stuff works in as little as 12 hours, even less if heated and agitated as that speeds up the chelation process.

I also found out that for the home mechanic, there is in fact a 2.5 gallon size now available. Its not on my price sheet and the price on the website is incorrect. The website indicates that it is $29.95. Actually, its $45 and what you get is 2.5 gallons in the 5 gallon bucket. This gives the user a ready made dip container in which to place parts and keep the product stored. Its a very nice set up and I highly recommend the 2.5 as an initial purchase and then buying either gallons or a 5 gallon bucket to refill with. The bucket has a lid and pour spout, but no basket.

    Is it in?

Any of the the Maryland/Virginia guys interesting in going in on a batch purchase - either the gallon jugs or something else so there in only one shipping charge? We could split it up at the Swap meet on the 23rd if we get moving.

    Thanks

    Guys,

Thanks for the support on this product. And I am glad to hear that the price is such a deal. You all know me enough to know its not my intent to gouge anyone on anything. I just want you all to have the best products available at the best price I can offer. This is one such product. Its absolutely amazing stuff. You just can't believe it until you see it. That rusty tailpipe was the final clincher.

You guys are great and I'm so happy to offer you another great product. I'll be here when you need more, but that'll be about 300 lbs of derusted steel later.

Thanks again and you guys rock!

    George,

If you are buying 2 gallons, spend $1 more and get the 2.5 system. For your extra $1 you get another half gallon, a 5 gallon bucket to use to store the stuff, and the bucket serves as a dip tank.

    Definitely the way to go.....

    shipping

Alan - Can a group purchase save on shipping? In other words, can I buy 2 5gal containers and ship to one address (say 22124) and pay less than $26 shipping?
