RIP Bruno and condolences to the family.
I did have the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times when I had my first GS at Bellmore. The Buick family has also suffered a great loss as well.

I had the privilege of knowing Bruno for a few yrs now and was out of town when I heard the news over the weekend it made me sad but thankful for the time I have known him. Whenever I needed a part he'd say let me take a look , but he always had it. Fortunately he lived close to me and when I picked it up I would get detailed instructions how to install it followed by some great bench racing stories from the old days . He will be missed.

He is and has been like an uncle,
dad, brother and friend to so many of the Buick enthusiasts across the country. He was always there for the rest of us and our needs. I hope to meet him
    sometime in the future...

RIP Bruno. Bought several Buick parts from him. Great person to work with. I still would have liked to see Larry and Bruno race.

:)I saw Bruno at least once or twice a week. I had many conversations with Bruno about us racing. He told me privately that he had no interest in doing so. Still, there were a few instigators who tried to make it happen.:D Bruno liked street racing. Back in the day, you could do that on Hempstead Turnpike, and Bruno took special pride that his Buick cars kicked butt. It was light to light racing, and we all know the low and mid range torque of the BBB. If you could hook that, Buicks are lethal on the street, especially light to light. I never street race. It just isn't worth it to me to risk changing my life forever should something unexpected happen. There is just too much traffic these days virtually all the time it seems. I was open to racing Bruno's GS at a racetrack, but I would only do it if Bruno wanted it. Like I said, his heart wasn't in it, never was. So I let it go. Took some ribbing here and there.;) No big deal, just Bench racing, and NE Club ball breaking.:D

Bruno was in my car plenty of times. If I could, I would step on it getting on the highway, and I would look over at him, and there would be a big smile on his face. A little more than 2 weeks before he passed, we took my car to Bellmore cruise night. It had rained for about 7 weeks in a row, and a Bellmore street fair that normally took place in September was rescheduled for, you guessed it, the Friday we went. We were so disappointed to see the parking lot blocked off and the workers setting up for the fair, it was such a nice sunny warm day. So we made our way back to Bruno's house. As I got onto the Wantagh Parkway, traffic was clear. I eased into it and as the car started to pull, I got about halfway into the QJ secondaries, and suddenly, both rear tires began to spin at about 35 MPH. The car started to go sideways, but I got out of it, and easily recovered. Bruno admonished me, Whoa, you need sticky tires on this car! I looked over and there was that big smile. One of those moments I'll remember forever.:(
