R.I.P Bruno, I bought my engine block from him and hung out with him a couple times at the car show , he was a great guy .
I did just a little bit of business with Bruno 15 years ago. He was remarkably kind and a complete gentleman to a person who he knew he'd never meet face to face. He had no need to interact with me and yet he did so, graciously. Rest in peace, friend to all.
I don’t think I met Bruno, but I’ve known his name for years. My condolences to his family and friends. With the number of Buick faithful who’ve passed, we ought to be getting better and better weather for events (especially the Nats) as all our brethren look after us! God speed, Bruno. Patrick
RIP Did not know him personally but I think I bought a part off the board here from him a couple years ago. Always heard good things about him from everybody.
Bruno and I would walk up to the occasional Hemi car at the local cruise night. I would nudge him and say, "he's gonna need a bigger Hemi Bruno" He'd just laugh...
Sorry, I'm really late to read this thread... Larry, the Dipaola family, and the Buick community, you have my deepest condolences. I'm glad that I got to meet Bruno at the 2022 Nationals in Bowling Green, when I also met Larry and Jay. He was a very nice guy and I enjoyed talking to him.
I never met Bruno but i did buy a set of headers from him many years ago. He was a gentleman when we spoke on the phone to arrange the sale. My condolences to his family and many friends.
WOW just seeing this. So sad. Community is diminished for sure. I bought an intake from him a while back , such a gentleman !! Thinking of his family at this time. RIP BRUNO
Very Sad News.....As many of you share my same exact thoughts.....my Buick has a few Bruno Parts.....Bitter Sweat. RIP Bruno Dan
Bruno was laid to rest at Calverton Veterans Cemetery yesterday .. very befitting considering the holiday and for a man who loved his country His memory lives on in many many of our hearts and in our Buicks .. perhaps I will post another Bruno story tonight Rest peacefully my friend and friend to all who had the pleasure to know you either online or in person
Good evening Gentlemen, this is Bruno Jr. I have read all the wonderful things you all have to say about my Dad and tears are flowing. My family and a lot of friends went to bury my Dad on Friday. It was so hard to say goodbye. I do have many stories but I will give you one. It was 11:30 at night and my Dad woke me up and said we have a money run against a 1970 big block Chevelle. GET UP. Back round of the story they wanted to to race my Dad's street/strip car 1st but he had broke a couple of rockers at the track and hadn't repaired it. So they said race your Convertible and it was stock. My Dad said no way its stock so they called him chicken. ( Never call him Chicken). He said I'll be back with my son and his car. So back at the house we had to move 3 cars to get mine out. Went up the Hempstead tnpke. Then at the fire house on Newbridge road. We dragged And we took home $275 . My father told the guys don't ever mess with a Buick unless you want to loose!! In an Italian accent of course!!!!
Rest Peacefully Bruno. I’ve bought parts from him on occasion over the last 30 years. Including the engine core in my GS. He always had a nice collection of Buicks on hand. Prayers to your family. Ps. I remember that spot on new bridge. One of many around we frequented and had fun at.
