Also, REALLY need to know it hasn't been re-tagged like the previous Stage 1 that I bought on here from what will remain an 'un-named' person. Wound up making him take the car back since several other members here knew the car and told me what the guy I bought it from did with the vin tag. No offense, just want to be sure.

Mike- no way to really be certain. If you were serious, I would suggest you fly up into Providence and have a look. Tag says silver mist- original paint is silvermist. VIN tags are mushroomed. No patches found. No metal splices found. Don't know what else I can tell you..:Do No:

One thing I have learned from a few people here is 'buy them finished'. I never really took that advice. But looking back, at ALL of the cars I have owned, the amount of money I would have saved buying one already finished....My advice to the folks just getting into this: save some money and buy one that is finished. Time, money, etc adds up quick...

Tom- if your going to the BPG nats this year, first drink (whether it's alcohol, coffee, juice, etc) is on me :beers2: :beers2: Only if you bring your 68, of course...

George i agree 100%. Buy them done. davids 69 is a good example ,a beautiful car ready to go ,as nice as you will ever find and a very fair price, not worth screwing around trying to build one, unless you have mega bucks to do a frame off concourse that you will not drive.Nats are a long way off in both time and miles but who knows might see you there..:beer

The ONLY cars I am buying from now on are the ones that need the most work. It's WAAAYYYYY more fun getting out all the mouse crap from the headliner, fixing all the under dash wiring and vents, having to do stuff at least 2 maybe 3 times to get it right, hauling hunks of cars up and down the road where all kinds of things can happen(George!!!). Not to mention dealing with the bodyshop, interior shop, engine shop, chrome shop, tire and wheel shop ect...ect....ect... Then when you try and sell your finished masterpiece you only get maybe 2/3 of your money back IF YOU ARE LUCKY!!!! So the next time you have a REAL project let me know because I just love it!!!!!!!!!!!:Dou:

For the record, David Roth, Chris Pollak and Mark Lob have been the one's that have constantly reminded me to 'buy them finished'. Every time I would buy another project or get pissed at the current one, they would gently rub it in my face that they were out enjoying their 'finished' cars....:Smarty: :TU:

So if the person that bought it would get to you via Wisconsin, you could have them stop by and pick up a certain AC set up? This might be the push I need to take it out of the car for you.

    :beers2:
