I don't think $11k is going to buy that car. I doubt it will even get a bid. The starting price is too high. It appears to be somewhat worth it, though. SHARP car...love the color..

    Silver Mist

And the official name for the hard boot is a "Customline Boot Cover" which was an option in 71-73 big convertibles.

That sounds more ligit the "Custom Line Boot Cover", parade boot I think is used for a lot of others.
I assumed that the $9500 was the reserve price because it doesn't say reserve not met. But I suppose there could be help in the bid department as they say, have helped a little myself just to get things started so to speak. As Nixon said "I am not a crook". A shill maybe but not a crook.
I think the price is reasonable anyway, I've seen a lot worse on ebay asking
for more money than this assuming it runs and drives as good as it looks.
Might go take a look this weekend if my golf game gets rained out.

Roger ..seems you want that car....

tell ya what...we get about a dozen guys to email him and offer to buy between

5k-6k .....then we wait a day and then we get someone here with crappy feedback already to bid $39,000 and then another for $55,000 and ruin is ebay day.....then you walk in and email him with an offer for $8,000 after the auction is ruined..

ok..? then next week you bring that baby by and pick us all up ...we go for bbq ribs or something.....

hang on a second ....its ebay police at my door... :Dou:

honestly ...if the car looks as good as in pictures (we all know that pictures can lie) it is in the low low teens easily...and maybe higher for someone thats got to have it....

I have seen many with low miles but with waves ,dings and rust bubbles along body panels go for $9k-$10k average

Geez, just found out I already bought a 65 Riviera for $5k(was $15k)
So I can't buy this one. All I have to do is wire $2800 via Western Union
to someplace in the UK, although the car is in Oregon????
What a deal! Second offer they have made this week. Sound legit????
It's getting worse all the time, I bet I get a bogus offer every week.

That is one sharp ride... I took a spin in one of those with that very same color before I bought the Centurion. It even had the parade boot too. That car had big holes in the floor though and the top hadn't been up for a very long time. He wanted 2700$ I said "no thanks".

If that car is as solid as it looks... hmmm.. hmmm... is it a 6k$ car?

No, I might tomorrow if I get in the mood.
Looks like my golf game is washed out so will have some time.
Will post findings if I go. This car is too nice probably, I'm looking for
    more of a daily driver.

Silver Mist actually has a green tint to it, so if your seeing green, your supposed to. The Customline boot was first used by Cadillac in 1971 and then in 1972 it was available on the Buick line. The rest of the GM line never got it although it will fit them wih no problem. It was available thru the last of the LeSabre convertibles in 75. In 72 it was option code Y9 and cost all of $36. As far s sitting on them, shouldn't be done, the center where you would sit is also where the 2 halves of the boot go together and is a rather fragile area that would and will break/crack easily. It was not available for early production 72's but came out in mid November

    Falme Orange

yes is is a Flme Orange car, I was high bidder on it back a few years ago when it was on ebay the first time. It didn't meet reserve so I called him to ask what it would take to buy it, $29,0000 then :Dou: :Do No:  my feeling on that :moonu: so i don't know if he will be realistic this time or not, my guess would be :moonu:
