Update Well, Dad went through the battery of tests at the transplant center at UNMC in Omaha and did great. Right up to the very last test. It seems there is some more blockage in his heart and he is looking at more bypass surgery to repair it before he can get on the list for a transplant. All this after a heart attack and quadruple bypass in September of 2004. Once that is repaired, it is back to the transplant center for another round of stress tests on his heart. So far, no word on whether Mom or Bobo is a possible donor. They both have different blood types than Dad. However, Dad is type O and is more likely to accept a donor kidney of a different blood type than any other blood type. We just need to have a test for antibodies in our blood to see in they match Dad. If they do match, it is possible that one of us can donate a kidney with only a small amount of risk of rejection. Soon, Eric and I hope to hear from the transplant center when we can be scheduled for screening for possible donation. Let's keep the prayers rolling on this one. Every one helps. And let's hope that Dad keeps his attitude positive. It has been awfully hard for him to keep a bright outlook. Our prayers are with you and your family and friends. I am always a little set back by the great members. I too can use some prayers for my father who has terminal cancer return and on his last days. Tough old WW2 and Korean vet having to suffer is so hard on us. Only our Lord can ease the pain, and we just hope and pray for the best for you. GOD BLESS, Steve

Dad went through some testing today to look for blockages in his heart. The test came back negative. No blockages :TU: The next step is get the ball rolling again on the transplant testing. Wish us luck.
