Listen, the weed in the picture is there for a reason. I shot that because the pics were at an abandoned runned down business! It was their recommendation. I'll admit the background light is bright but I thoughtit was a great shot anyways. That's why I sent it in with another 4 that weren't so bright.

I love the weed look. Thougth it was what they were looking for.

    But whatever.

I've always asked people for their honest opinions and got a few on my pics, was only trying to help.Thats why I said "devils advocate"...don't get upset about it. If the weed was lower down and didn't cover up your subject it would have good effect...I'm not the judge but I am sure that is what he saw.

It IS an excellent shot IMHO as mentioned but the lighting is off and that weed needs better placement (also IMHO), it was a photography contest so they would be looking at technical stuff like that more than normal.

What do I know? :Do No:

I convinced a guy I know over on Flickr to send in photos of his Mustang for the contest. He was hesitant at first due to an illness, but decided to send them in anyways at the last minute. He told me yesterday that he got a call from PHR. He said they chose him and 9 other cars (including the winning Camaro) to be featured in future issues. The winner of last years contest will be photographing his Mustang for an article. He said his was the only Ford chosen. I'll post some pics of his Mustang when I get home (flickr is blocked on this computer).

i got invited to the photo shoot, with my 70 gs, there was a 72 gs there also, it was very clean, cool car. So there will be 2 buick skylarks on the cover of the jan. issue. I think there was a total of 12 cars there for the cover shoot. the winner from texas didn't make it. I drove my gs 5.5 hrs one way to the shoot. I will try to up load some photos later. It was nice getting to know all the people there.

    later curt
