Very nice GS. I assume you have an APB out for a blue sport wheel?

The 20% devaluation folks have a pretty good lead. That seems fair. I suspect that will be the trend no matter how many votes we get in total.

In reflecting on the 50% devaluation, I think it fair to say no seller is going to ever knock that much off a car because of the block. These votes probably should be considered the same as those that are unwilling to consider a car with a non numbers block?

    Agreed. Sharp car!

I think Todd might carry the GS door panel emblems as well.

Gsjoe did a lot of the work on that car. I used to see it at a cruise night here, it is a really nice color combo. I think it was a concours car at BG.

Frank, I don't know much about the previous owner or history of my Buick.
when you say you used to see it at cruise night, where is that located?

I know the owner lives in Riverside RI. He had the car consigned to a Classic car Dealership in Smithfield RI. That's all I know.
The previous owners name if Mr. Vincent Bruni.
If you have any history on this Buick I would love to hear it.

Be great to know if it was a Concours car at BG. I have been told I should inter the Buick into the Concours event.

I agree, GSJoe did a fantastic Renovation on this Buick. Main reason why I bought this car, it looks like it just came out of the Buck factory. VET

Don't know if it works the same or not but I have DD gauges in a 66 Chevelle with an LS3 and the temp gauge reads the same as the computer so at least one gauge is accurate.

I assume you are talking to me?
I bought a steering wheel cover that has the Buick Tri-Shield on it and Buick in bold text.
Thanks, I wasn't aware the sport wheel could be had in blue. I purchased the black one from Todd. Vet

You may not know this either - 69/70 sport wheels were 16", while later ones are 15". At least that's my understanding. Drifting is normal for this rwd site

In Navy Vet's post I'm a bit surprised at his comment about the gearing. I ordered our new '72 Olds Cutlass with a 2:73 axle and the trailer towing package. GM refused to let me have the 2:73 differential. I bought the car from an Olds dealer that was into drag racing, and had some factory help. The son of the dealer's owner went to bat with GM for me and they grudgingly let me have the 2:73. We towed a two-horse trailer that fully loaded weighed 4,200 lbs with the Cutlass. We never had any issues with power or overheating. The best part was that it was a 20+ mpg highway car when not towing. It was a 350 4 bbl THM 350 that supposedly got a little beefing up with the trailer package. We never had any transmission trouble either. I would remind those folks that have followed my scribblings here that this was the car that was stolen and never recovered.

John, let me explain re my 2.93 differential issue.

You know the "rush" you get when a Big Block car shifts into the next gear at WOT and plants your ass into the driver's seat!

Like Jim W, said, it's mostly coming from the differential gearing like a 4.32. My 2.93 highway gear doesn't give me that "rush" feeling.

Remember the old $20 dollar bill on the dash. The passenger tries to get it, but the touque is too much to pull you out of the seat.

That's what I am talking about.

I was thinking that shade of blue was mid 70's Regal & Skyhawk:

Might not be correct for my 1970 GS, but it's a great color match. Vet

Hi Rick, looks like the Blue steering wheel sold. Wow, Buick parts don't stay long when listed for sell. Vet

20 % minimum reduction for non born with block. As previously mentioned speaks volumes about the vehicles history. I have two rare examples. It took several years to get my Buick how I wanted it with a toy engine to have fun with and the numbers engine fresh and dormant safely set aside. The Z will be back on the road this week with its born with 302 under the hood, for the first time in 27 years.
