Yes, Sedona is beautiful, we went there coming back from the Grand Canyon last May. Been to the Grand Canyon? If not, do try to go. I'll 2nd the Desert Botanical Gardens. Phoenix Zoo has "Zoo Lights" during Dec and Jan, beautiful night-time displays. Haven't gone during daylight yet though.
Greasewood flats are no more, closed 2 years ago probably a sub division now. The story goes that the owner died and the kids had to pay the estate taxes so had to sell the business.
My wife, son, and I stayed a week in Flagstaff a few years ago. We did Sedona (it was kinda uppity/touristy, but the church in the rocks was beautiful). The drive from Flagstaff to Sedona was spectacular. We did the train from Williams to the Canyon. If you’ve never seen the Grand Canyon, pictures don’t do it justice. Williams is cool, it’s ‘Old Route 66’ through and through. We drove all over northeast Arizona checking out the native American historical sights, and did the meteor crater one day. It was cool to travel to a state where, upon arrival in Phoenix it was 100* and midweek, in Flagstaff, we had snow. Rent a car, unfold a map, pick a drive. Arizona has a lot to see. Patrick
Hi Jason, I love that part of the USA. My experience was in Nevada in 1968, but I drove my Chrysler 300 104 miles in one hour legally. Life is (was) good!
