for a personal plate, in ontario, canada, u have to cough up a one time fee of$251 + the annual licence tag of $74. the same costs apply for a yom (year of manufacturer) plate which i just purchased. what do u guys pay for your personalized plates?

Near Atlanta I've seen a new black Maserati Quattraporte and below the chrome cursive 'Maserati' the plate says DOES 185. I've seen a Honda Odessey wearing the plate 'A SPACE'--it must be a 2001.

That would be green and gold...:grin: On the other topic, we can get up to seven characters here in Alberta, there's a one time fee of $160.00, and one can either register a modern vanity plate, or a vintage year of manufacture Alberta plate. No out of province or US plates though; just Alberta. After the one time fee, it costs $70 per year to keep the registration up. The neat thing about Alberta is that we don't require a front plate; there are no rules governing what one puts on the front, so one sees a lot of vintage tin running around with California black plates. The only way you get two plates here is to buy a vanity plate.

Ah. UWO - purple & white - mustangs In ontario, u have to have same (pair) plates front & rear. if the front plate and rear plate do not match, u can receive a "misuse of plates" ticket. a friend received that ticket from the opp because he had the "heartbeat of america" on the front.
In Alabama; $50 + regular taxes and fees. The taxes are based on the value of the car and what county and or city where your car is registered. My tag this year for my 2003 Durango was $68+ (not personalized) in Jefferson county Alabama. The first tag for a brand new car is usually under $100. The second year registration is $300- $1000. Each year after that, the price goes down.

Mine are pretty much self-explanitory... Quite the ordeal getting the '69 plate past the CA DMV,seems they frown on anything with a "69" reference...had to write a letter after they initially denied it.
the personal plates on my dad's 1979 super beetle convertible were "WE BUG" . A coworker now owns the car. I placed that plate on my 08 astra as a tribute.
this is the plate on the girlfriends gs. it is towards her very bad ex husband that didnt deserve the car anyways.(not that i condone the woman taking the guys car but he was a real s.o.b and the thing just sat there rotting anyways)
