Bob Newhart & Bill Cosby. Do not know anyone that has such an expressive face as Newhart and despite what has come to light recently Cosby's Fat Albert routines + his childhood memories are really good.

I can't give you one. There are so many, as I'm a standup junkie. Grew up on Carlin and the like.
Of current standup, Ron Funches is amazing. Jackie Kashian is a favorite. I listen to her and Laurie Kilmartin (also great) on their podcast. I've seen them both live within the last year or so. Amy Miller is so funny. Bill Burr was also mentioned.

The problem with standup is that it's very personal. I love Doug Benson's podcasts, but his standup is good but not as great as him hosting a live podcast. Same thing with Greg Proops. I've seen him do standup and listened to his podcast. Two completely different ways of seeing him.

Dave Chappelle is a comic genius. But when I saw him live, although the jokes were funny, his presentation seemed rehearsed. It was like he knew he needed to slap his knee "now" to punctuate a joke. Maria Bamford is not for everyone, but I find her insanity very funny. One of the best shows I saw was Jackie Kashian opening for Maria Bamford. You really have to focus for both of them, but for different reasons.

When Gaffigan came to Seattle, Ted Alexandro opened for him. I had no idea how good Alexandro was.

Todd Barry is also amazing, but his deadpan, self-congratulatory, style isn't for everyone.

Al the best comedians are dead. There are no more good or even any comedians. They are all now political commentators. Pure jerks. Comedians used to make life better and we could all laugh. Now I just want to put my fist through the TV. They would never get one cent of my money. Comedy is dead.

If you want to laugh watch this movie. It’s a great one. On top of that the Cinematography and colors just jump right off the screen. It’s never been improved upon in all those years. I think I like the Dick Shawn Lifeguard character the best. Priceless.

As far as standup goes, I haven't paid much attention for quite a few years to choose anyone but I always liked George Carlin, but for TV comedy I think Tim Allen is about the only one I laugh at anymore.

Forgot about Jonathan Winters- so many voices inside of him. To me a great comic does not need to be profane to be funny.
