Opinions Please!! Pics of the 72 Post car I've been looking at!

Two yrs ago there was a 71 post down here, in just as good condition as that.. only had two dime size rust bubbles starting to form, and the engine bay wasn't as clean. Stripper model... NO A/C. Sold for $5,000 after being for sale for about a year.

Good luck... Its a nice find.

I noticed that the rocker trim is painted red. Shouldn't the Skylark trim be painted black? Not that this detracts in any way from the car, it looks great! It was just something I was wondering, since I thought only the GS models go the red.

 

I was told that the rocker trim on a GS was red and on a sylark custom was black! Therfore this car is a plain skylark and some people stated earlier that it should not have rocker mouldings at all. I think everything is legit on this car.


Also another thing the vinyl top moulding also has a red stripe like the rocker moulding. I never saw one like this before.

The former owner probably had it repainted... I can't see 32yr old paint looking like that. Probably had some custom striping done then too.

isnt this car a special not a skylark?i had a 70 that was a special,i think the vin was like all 333333 or somhing,real light car,mine was non-air

 

Very clean, very nice. I'd buy+drive if I had 3k laying around.

 

I did not already buy this car I am just considering it.

I'm basically looking for opinions about it and its value etc...

I would say $3k to $5k. Looks like a very nice car. How much are they asking.

 

The guy is around the 4K range with little flexibility!

Anything under 4k and your stealing the thing, just buy it and get it out of there.
