I'm glad your happy with it!
I really miss it though, especially on nice days like today when I would have driven it. :ball:

I can't wait to see the finished product after hearing your plans!

Yes he is from Hot Rod Magazine. He was on the show when it was called Hot Rod TV. It's now called Horsepower TV and is not affiliated with Hot Rod Mag anymore.
The guys name is Steve Magenti (spelling) and he really knows his stuff. He did a lot of series work on how to obtain performance on the cheap from either swap meets and or salvage yards. I watched the series where he built this car.
    Pretty cool.

Wow Rick, I guess I missed the big event.
Congrats to both you and Will for giving the 67 a new home. Must be a little bitter sweet for you, I may be going through the same thing soon. Now when is that slingshot you are working on gonna see the track? And who do you have to take pics when it does?

Thanks for the congrats. Will bought it last weekend (or the weekend before?) It's very bittersweet. I really miss it already. :(
But this hobby has it's pros and cons. I had to sacrifice that car to keep progresss moving on the other cars. Right now I have NO Buick to drive. :ball:
........Until I get the ragtop done! :TU:

I saw your car on eBay the other day. I couldn't believe my eyes.
    Why are you selling Dana??

I'm making progress on the "slingshot", but it's been slow lately.
I've been working alot of overtime at work, and helping my friend with his 66 Pontiac. We got the engine in his car Thursday night at about 2AM (have to be at work at 7AM) :Dou:
His engine is the first one we fired up on my run stand. He's real close to being ready to get his car on the road now.

Today I got my BBC put back together and fired up, and I'm happy to report that the oil leak is history!
I also started setting up my new rear end gears tonight, but have ran into a snag. I think I need some different parts or something. Thats why I came up to the computer.... to look for parts. But I couldn't help but to check in here first. :pp

Anyways... once I get the rear end back in the car, I'll be ready to try to shoehorn the engine in that tiny bay and see what the next step is. I'm probably still a month or so away from being ready to even think about it moving under it's own power.

Man can I ramble or what?. :pp

So why are you selling your beast?

    GSXMEN Got Jesus?

Real simple.....massive quantities of TORQUE!!! Let's not forget...both the 472" and 500" Caddy engines made more TQ than even the Stage 1.

Some of you guys are actually too young to remember this.....but the other half of us should!!:Brow:

Car Craft did this very concept quite some time ago. Small and light body with the most engine that could be gotten from the junkyard. By switching the heads from a '69-'73 BB Caddy and putting them onto a '74-'76 500" engine, you get ~13:1 compression. Instant cheap 'race' engine!!:TU:

Don't remember the exact numbers, but I think it ran low 12's or high 11's. Not too shabby!! :TU: Wouldn't want it parked in front of the garage or house though.:Brow:

Well Rick its like this, I've had this one for 14 year's, the 4th hardtop Ive owned over the years. I have had an itch to get into a convertable or Suncoupe for a while so if I ever hope to get it done I have to let the Lil Wing go first. Lots of thought has gone into this decision, as you know these cars can become like a child to you
but even with kids at some point you have to let them go. Hey, it might not even make my reserve,( a part of me hopes it wont) and if not I'll still be happy with my bitchin ride.
Sounds like you got your hands full with all the projects you've got yourself into over there. Good luck with it all.
