    I don't think that OJ could have come up with anything close to $33 million. The trial must have cost him a fortune, and the entire case made him virtually unemployable. I'm sure that the families' lawyers knew this going in. O J was responsible for the support of his four surviving children as well. The courts would want them to be able to live in something similar to their existing lifestyle prior to the murder.
