Thanks Shawn for taking the time to look; keep me in mind while youre "puttsing" around LOL... No big rush yet as I am working my way forward from the firewall. Bill in TR
No problem Bill. Tomorrow is a big "puttsing" day, I'll be mating the body to the chassis after a 5 year separation. But I'll still check for that patch.
Thanks Pal!!! Spent the day taking care of business in Sheboygan, about a 50 mile drive in the cliTAURUS. Stopped by SEARS and they had a giant sale going on, plus a few broken screwdriver returns. Got a 90LB 3-1/2 ton 2 pump to raise to chassis floor jack for 150; NICE!! Still trying to find that elusive 1/4" drive u-joint socket set... the call them "flex sockets" which seems kinda amateurish. Special order for $100 with 10 metrics and 8 standards, and homey don't play metric. Gotta peruse EDOG for this one... ws
I gotta keep this thred stayin' alive...LOL Doing the due diligence thing and spent the day yesterday going to green bay to look at a '68 and a '70 Olds Cutlass for parts. Aside from having plastic inner fenders that weren't even close to being the same, the core support was entirely different, the AC condenser was mounted different and larger, and even the AC box on the firewall was different in certain respects. So Steveedeedee (whew!!) keep me in mind if youre gonna get rid of any of that stuff. Looking really close at those pics shows me way more similarities than that olds had! Also guys, I have a pair of rusted out doors for parts. I can make what I need out of the skins, but theres hinges and latches, widow riser parts etc, plus I have a nice DS fender (alas its a gonner at the bottom though) pretty nice 70-72 trunk lid and rear window bottom channel to trunk filler that's savable. Just trying to keep it alive... Bill in TR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_izvAbhExY
C'mon Bill in TR... did you actually think, Oldslowmobile parts are the same as Buick parts? :spank: ??... Now really, didja? ? ? :bla: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Nawwheelz...just kinda close even, but these may as well been off s damn dodge; difference was night and day! Bill I TR
OK, I'll look again at what I have that might provide what you need. I think that the driver's side inside fender well may be better than what you have posted. The passenger's side has the usual corrosion, though. I'll get some more pix.
Thanks pal... The driver side inner fender is prefect but that battery side's first 10 inches in typical. what I really need is the pans that are under the battery tray and about 6" of he drivers side up to just below the headlight mounts. Thanks, Bill in TR "Ill make you ad offer you mite refuse" LOL...
Thanks Steve! The DS fender well is perfect but he pass side is ruff for he first 10 or so inches under the battery tray. The core support pans are what I really need. From the back edge to where the bend up towards the headlamp mounts. Ill make you an offer that you might refuse LOL... Bill in TR YOURS: MINE Yours: Mine: And the pass side inner fender front on mine..:

I'm confused. Are you saying those pics are from my car? I didn't upload any pics, yet. Looks like Wheelz has the best idea.
At first I was in the state of Wisconsin, and now Im in a state of confusion... I though you sent me those pics Steve; MEA CULPA! They may have been from Terry here at taf44667 I hope whomever sent me the pics fesses up; I want to give credit where credit is due!. If Wheelz can wait a while. I may join my pal when he goes home to Plant City in a few months for some wild pig huntin' and some fresh strawberries. I couldn't imagine what shipping would cost on that stuff. I guess the plans are back at the Maytag with the sawzall again LOL... Bill in FROZEN solid TR
Bill....yep those are a couple of the bunch of pics I sent you. Note - They are not from my car but from the hundreds of reference pics I have saved in case I need a reference pic at some time. Terry
Thanks Terry... After a year onboard here I still get turned around in the dark sometimes!! I am like you and always take reference pics, and even after looking at the olds gutlass stuff, just wanted to pass along some info that may save someone a trip someday. Thanks again, and I did keep those pics in my files just in case... ya never know eh??? Bill in TR
More than just a bump to the top... I cant believe no one has saved a spare core support or even some salvageable parts from one! Best one is the LF corner off one from a yard in californy. Too much $$$ and a ton to ship in a 2X2X2 box. Im a realistically down to the maytag project or a rebuild kit. Really just wanted a piece cut off to weld back on and move on. Any help or thoughts is appreciated. I also think a bunch of guys PM mailboxes must be full. No answers or even a response from many or most! Bill in TR
BillinTR... Heres a deal: on your way here, drive thru HARRISON TOWNSHIP and pick up this 1994 18" Donzi on a new trailer for me, http://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Donzi-.../141505256338?ssPageName=ADME:B:WNARL:US:1123 I would gladly pay you $29.63 IN CASH to haul it down here... and then you can buy my decent core support and fix your problem with hardly any work at all.. WE BOTH WIN!!! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Hmmm... 1995 trailer, BUT. pay me $1.00 per mile loaded, thats 1730 miles from here to Algonac, then to Tampa, and subtract the core support and pass side inner fender ($600.00?) and you can have another $1130 into shipping the boat. All that will do is fuel the truck for the trip. Lemono. I even have insurance.
