It's not uncommon to use a heat gun to expand the material to fit. But are the covers supposed to be more than a full inch shorter than the seat?????

Thats what the install said. He said the covers are about an inch too narrow and the corner beads dont go all the way to the edge like they should. I have yet to hear back from Legendary about the pictures I sent last night.

I just feel this is going to turn into a he said he said deal and cost me more money.

I had the same exact experience with my Stage 1 when I bought the seatcovers from Legendary. When I first embarked on my restoration project,I immediately bought the interior items(seat covers and front/rear door panels). Approx. 7 years later,I am finishing my car and decided to send the seat covers/door panels to the upholstery shop. Two days later,I get a phone call saying that the seat covers will not fit and work in my car :af: Both the front and rear seatcovers were 4 inches too short going lengthwise, and the upholstery shop said that they could not be stretched(heck, if I wanted those seat covers stretched, for sure they would end up in no time looking like the original seat covers all beat, battered and torn!).
I quickly get on the phone to Legendary and tell them my problem. After the many phone calls back and forth, they recommend I send them my seat covers(at my expense! ). A week later I called THEM(they told me they would call me),and they told me that the seat covers fit their jigs fine, and that I must have the wrong seats in my car!!!!! As you can guess, this made me extremely angry  and I told them that the seats were indeed the original ones, and not too many cars came from the factory with a power bench seat. I could not get any satisfaction from them, and ended up buying my seat covers from Crown Interiors(which fit perfectly). After asking them for a refund, Legendary Interiors would not give me my money back stating that the warranty ran out(over 5 years).Yes,they wasted my hard earned money plain and simple. In all those years,I had not once taken the seat covers out of the box to preserve them when it came time to have them installed.

That is my unfortunate experience with Legendary Auto Interiors. You can be rest assured ,I would not recommend them.

I sent Ron the V8 link with my seats mesaured and other seats from board members with their seats and it "appears" the covers are to small from the information I have gathered here on the board.

Ron, from Legendary called on Thursday and will issue a call tag for the seat backs to evaluate them. I am going to box them up this weekend to send them back so they can look at them.

So for I am satisfied with the direction we are headed. I bought my entire interior from them and they have fixed the door panels that were not correct and the boot for the top that had wrinkles sew into it at the corners.

I should know more in a few weeks.

Yes,that is good news Ron,but what a pain in the A$$!!! Don't these people realize how our cars came from the factory and not just put together a kit?Heck, these people are supposed to be in business making CORRECT seat covers THAT FIT our cars. The business practice they are using is costly to us customers in time, money, and frustration. The money that I spent to them went to hell (over $600.00) and I cannot recoup that. They should be ashamed of producing crap and they made a customer(like me) mad at them for doing so.Their seat covers are not doing me a bit of good sitting in a box collecting dust. They should go back to making seat covers for Mopars since they seem to do a decent job of making those.

Got good news today from Ron. He said they are going to make new seat back covers for me and install before returning them. They are going to cover this under warranty.

I will use them when I replace the 67 and 70 seat covers in the future. :TU:
