Or at least what your putting down at the rear wheels. That is one thing the newer cars do so much better, more efficient drive line, less power wasted through the drive train.

And you know my Mom hated the name Lawrence, which is why she had them put Larry on the birth certificate. Got it Clement?:D:D

The purists and the snobs make me really want to yank out my bbb for an LS swap.
I have an early b4b, a proform carb and a starter from a 1996 LT4 corvette on mine. I don't know how I'll ever be able to show my face around buick events.

I see spark plugs. All my Buicks have spark plugs. Therefore, Buick.

I know this is an old thread but just came across it. And think it’s kind of a funny thread.
So all you guys (and girls) that have a fiberglass Stg2 hood scoop on your car makes it a non Buick hood? All your aftermarket body parts makes your car a non Buick? Your reman alternator from auto zone makes your Buick not a Buick anymore? You replaced your original bias ply tires with newer radials makes your Buick not a Buick anymore? upgraded the points dissy (on purpose lol) to hei makes it not being a Buick anymore. You get the idea?
Where does it stop and where does it begin? Crazy

Upgrade to a TA cam and now it’s not Buick powered? Machine the block for a ta girdle and now it’s not Buick powered. Upgrade the block to the ta Buick based block, put the original steel heads on it ( who would do that?) and it’s no longer Buick powered? Come on!

20200105_090916.jpg Interesting Debate. I have respect for the matching numbers guys. But I will pick big horse power gains over stock... Stock block, with forged rods/pistons TA Heads anyday.
And if I can Ide love a Tomahawk Block and forged crank.. To me still mix and match Buick parts. Upgrade..
Everyone in the Chevy world wants LS, and before that all you saw mostly were and still small block 350s. Kings of a car show, Camaro, Mustang Chevell. All great cars and engines. Wheres the Buick? Oh theres one. With a chevy engine...
