besides a buick.. hrm.. i did get to drive my brothers '94 LT1 Z28 camaro a few times hehe... nothing more fun than hitting 120 in just a little over a 1/4 mile heh good stuff.. now if john schmidt will gimme a ride in the opel or the riv... my life would be complete hehe
It cost $60. for 1 quart of oil, $6000. for brake pads and $24,000. for rotors. here's the article that says that Car & driver article
I've had the pleasure of driving some really nice cars at school, especially the '93 LT1 Camaro and '00 LS1 Trans Am used for dragging, and our '92 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo... cool cars indeed. The fastest thing I've ridden in was my boss's '71 Chevelle, 400hp SBC. Not anything special, but fast The most fun thing that I've ever driven, however, was the Olds Cutlass Dirt Street Stock that we raced last year, and plan on racing again this summer. Oh man, what a riot!!! Sideways at every turn, dirt being pounded into your chest, and rubbing with 25 other open-headered small blocks is crazy fun! Can't wait for May!
Subaru WRX 2003 My current car!!! Fairly quick car.......... Gets decent gas mileage and best of all gets around great in the snow!!:TU:
I'd have to say the one I enjoyed the most was my friends 70 Big Block vette roadster. We spent the entire winter building it from a junkyard frame donor. Everything was new, very stout 454 4spd, One Friday night in June we finished and took it out for it's first test drive. My senses were on overload, we were sideways at 40 0r 50 mph with the top down the big block making beautiful nasty sounds and the back tires about six inches from my head ripping the street apart.
I'd have to say the nicest car I've driven is my friend's uncle's Mercedes-Benz CL600... TURBO 5.5L 12 cyl. Why he let us drive it I'll never know. He let us 4 'kids' take it out for a spin... while he stayed at home. BIG MISTAKE! 0-60 in 4.5 seconds!! :3gears: We each took turns driving it up and down the back roads of San Diego and it was frikken amazing! That thing got to 120 mph faster than anything i've driven. But the cool thing was that it handled great too... and it had all of the really amazing luxury features.... the headliner was made out of suede, for chrissakes! But Shhh... don't tell him, we just "drove it to the grocery store"!!
Just my luck, I would by a new mach 1, and have to replace parts on it, because somebody beat the snot out of it before I bought it.ou:
94 Mustang Cobra black on tan 5spd. Very little mods done to it. 254 HP. Only paid $11,500 a few years ago because the wrong price was listed on the car. Sold it to a 19 year old kid. I asked him if I could take him a ride on the day I sold it and he said "yes". That was the first time I got it to it's maximum computer limited speed, 154mph on the outerbelt. Sold it for $12100. MARK
People are idiots. Abuse of cars is something I don't tolerate. Especially cars that someone is going to own one day.p
A 73 Cadi Coupe de Ville I used to wash for my neighbor (and drivers ed teacher). Red paint and interior, white demi vinyl top. Power everything, and very quiet. Like a living room on wheels. Also, though I've not driven it yet, my girlfriend's Alfa Romeo two-seater ragtop (she won't let me drive it, but to be fair I won't let her drive my Rivs either). Gorgeous car, and seats are so well-fitting and comfortable they're downright sexy...like having your a** caressed by a beautiful woman... Loud on the highway, though...
My grandma's '92 Caprice will get to 100mph and seem like it's going 60mph. The rental '03 Galant (with 19 miles on it) that me and my little brother beat on for about 3 weeks, including some fun in the snow. Poor rental cars. My little Summit is pretty fun too, the tiny buckets are pretty comfortable. Really nice car, my mom's '99 Durango, executive's trade in, SLT, leather EVERYTHING, 4x4, cd surround sound, etc. The executive didn't like how small the tires were, so he brought it back and had them put on bigger rims and small mudder tires, $90 a tire!
Brand new , at the time, '93 MB 500SL. V8,luxury, two tops, power to spare, real craftsmanship, really nice car. Few years ago got back to the office, note on my desk from the former boss. " Look after this for a couple weeks while I'm away"
I used to drive (temporarily) a $146,000 ride every day. Okay, yes, it was a Freightliner. Fasted car that I've been in is a 1990 Z-R1. It's absolutely amazing that a factory-stock vehicle can make tires that size struggle for traction at 90mph under acceleration. It's a little unsettling.
Nicest non-Buick cars I've driven... my Plymouth Sport Fury my Dad's various Jaguars a '70 Jag I was thinking of buying (bought a Mopar instead) my old Morris Minor Convertible (loved it, but uncomfortable & slow!) My wife's Mini Sprite 1.3 EFi - thats the REAL Mini made by Austin-Rover not the new so-called Mini aka the BMW 1 series! My buddy's 1968 Jensen Interceptor 383. Too cool for words.
My LSI T/A Gotta be my current LSI, 99 Trans Am... Picture below. Looks as awsome as my high school W-30 but handles like a Go Kart and goes like the wind. :3gears: Next would be my 1971 Oldsmobile W-30, what a car that was. Looking for another. Thx JA
The only non buicks I've ever driven were our '96 Suburban,my moms '91 rs convertible and my sisters camry.. I dont know the year of it... so I guess the nicest was my mom's convertible.. for no special reason! -Josh
