The guy selling the car contacted me after I e-mailed him. He seemed very straight forward about what has been done to the car. He said that the quarters were replaced, the doors were replaced with mint ones from out west, and that the front clip is original except for lower patches. It's a sweet looking ride for sure. I'm thinking about driving up there to look at it this week. What do you guys think I should offer him? Would any one be willing to look at it with me? I feel like a "tire kicker", but I can't stop thinking how nice it would be to have a real GS with a big block no less!
Ok, I think I am going to go look at the car. But I can't wait until this weekend though. The auction will have ended by then. Do you guys think that $18,000 is a good price for this car? I do not know anything about restored GS's, but I may need to look at it by myself. I really feel torn between this car and restoring my Skylark. I know I will have at least $18,000 in restoring my Lark the way I want it to be, including a healthy 400+ HP powerplant (thats about $5,000 itself!). ARRRRGGGHHH...what to do??? I know...sh** or get off the pot, right?
