ou: Notice the listing states "un-restored" "all original".... Read further on, and it has a rebuilt tranny, interior completely refurbished, new vinyl roof, new windshield, brakes and suspension.... I wonder if anything is original besides the paint????? :spank: 200k miles too.
White paint, black vinyl roof, and blue interior! What's wrong with this picture? Who would order a car like that? Not crazy about that color combo.
This GS also is in need of front and rear BUMPERS.Front is bent on the bottom, rear has a large unrepairable DENT in it . LOOKS like a nice car, but you'll have to see it in person. RON
That high-output buick 350 engine with 315 horsepower seems pretty sweet to me. That's plentiful for a good small block muscle-car. it needs some fixs here and there and a little TLC and it would make a great collector. -Cody
Must be related to the guy who ordered my 70 Stage 1. Aqua mist with a brown bucket seat interior and no air ordered in Monroe, LA.
I thought GS cars had the woodgrain detail on the dash and radio plate as well? Am I wrong here, or did the skylark come with the standard black treatment on the dash and radio plate?
I thought all GS cars had the woodgrain also, but I have 2 early production '70 GS350s that do not have it, and Phil Green (TXGS) had an early production '70 GS350 that did not. Two of these cars were Kansas built, one is CA built. Maybe the woodgrain was a late-production addition to the GS350 line...? Just a thought.
Chris my 70 skylark also was a non Woodgrain Piece and was built in Kansas. Also I think Nick sloops car is the same also...
This could be as well I am not sure on the skylarks... on the early cars maybe if you get in to the later years like my 72 it came with wood grain on the dash. I know it's like comparing apples to oranges.. 70 - 72.
The case may have been that GSs and Skylark Customs came with the woodgrain. That would make sense seeing how they came with similar interior patterns.
The standard interior Skylarks and GS's did not have the woodgrain on the dash...the Skylark Custom's and GS's with the optional interior got the woodgrain on the dash. HTH
Would there be a code on the buildsheet that would specify if woodgrain was put on the car or not? I have the original sheet for my Aqua GS350 which does not have the woodgrain on the dash. It is a deluxe pearl white interior car.
I just looked at the order sheet and do not see it listed there... However it has to be documented somewhere.
