I dropped it on a 'spare' chassis (they come in handy don't they!) and brought 'er home:

Got the car delivered -by the owner from California! Sweet deal (thanks Eddie!)
Its a bit more beat up than expected and has a bit of a rust issue around the taillights. The interior is almost all there. Good starting point anyway. I cannot believe how simple these are compared to the Wildcat. I have to hide it in the back of my garage till I get some other stuff done! Later!

    found one for sale

Hey guys, I found a 64 convertible for sale near me. for $2000 the car is complete with a new convertible top (Installed) and a new motor for the top. The engine and trans are gone but the car is complete and no rust. It needs paint but all of the chrome is there. The interior is complete but has not been updated since new. The floorboards are solid. For a few hundred it more it could be running with your choice of motor. I know where to get engines and trannys cheap but I can't swing buying it. :beer

    Sorry Guys TOo Late

I just called the guy to set up a time to take photos and he sold it for $1300.00 because he needed the space. If I had known I could have had it that cheap I might have bought it myself. he insisted when i saw the car that he wouldn't take anything lower. As always, I'm a day late and a dollar short.

    Hi Don :beer

I'm sending the '67 to the body shop, and the black 65 is coming back-plus my dad's Caddy is going to him in N. C. Its not the space, its getting to the car that I want to play with :eek2:
Did you get your transmission sorted out?

    Ted

    Transmission

    Ted,
I found a Guy out in Washington State, Who rebuilds them and gives a good warranty on it. I have spoken to him a lot and he seems to really know his stuff about the S/P 400 :Smarty: , Thats all he does for a living is rebuilding Transmissions. So I feel pretty good with dealing with him and his prices are good...Great is a better term to use compared to what I have been given around here.
Hey Do you need some one to drive the Caddy over to N. Carolina
I know that you will use a transport Co, but that would be a cool car to take a road trip in!
I am doing fine except for this heat and humdity...it really get to my joints so Work is slow on the Cat! :( How are you doing?
    Don

Doing great Don, just getting ready for a big trip to England/Greece. I know after that I'll be grtting some work done on the Coupe!
Man, Washington State is a long way off! Hope that works out!
That Caddy would be so much fun to drive down, but we are a bit scared of the reliability of the V-16 :Brow: Ted
