4-speed? Ted, you don't like 4-speeds, so go ahead and drop off that old thing here in Wichita, I'll take care of it. Matt
Thanks for the :TU: I have to finish my Wildcat project first- I keep getting distracted by nifty new things! Tom, the starter looks brilliant, I'll check it out in the engine and post some pics later. Shawn, I haven't put the heads on - the Wagon is running and driving so its got to stay together till something else gets back together. Good to hear from you though.
Pat Guida is my inspiration on this- he did a fantastic job on Carmen's old race car- a midnight blue w/white ragtop. very nice job! in 18 months, too. :eek2: Nice to meet you in Batavia, Jim! :TU:
nice Hi Ted,I saw that and was "wishing" it was mine.Glad to see it going to a good home;maybe I will see it when you get it done someday! It should make a great looking car with the options and color combo. :Brow:
Ted..Sweet!!! Did you make it home alright from Batavia ... concerning the window? Was Carmen able to fix the duel quads for you? It was nice meeting you! Take care.
there was another 4spd car up in ronners scrape yard in norther mn. pedal all all where in it yet lots of body parts gone though nice looking builder Ted Greg
Hi Greg, did that parts car have a bellhousing? :Brow: Looking into extrude honing some heads... :3gears:
bellhousing was gone already would have been in my garage if it was there yet :3gears: the pedals where there and the z bar tranny and bell was gone already there is a 65 gs in the york area over from you that was complete with housing and all complete car but rusted into the ground guy would not let me take anything from it bell was there i had to reach threw the opening (rust hole) and snaped a picture of it to be sure it was right for stick nailhead hood was rusted tight look up a salvage yard over there that startes with a b like baumgart or something there was a virgin yard he just got and as us wisconsin guys where in the area and sniffed it out he let us in for a day we could not take off fast enough my bill for the day was like $250 for everything i want to go back again and start all over good luck Greg
Sounds like a good trip that day! I figured that bellhousing would have a place @ your garage if it were there... :beer Any luck on floor boards? I have to decide what to do with the green convertible frame and rear half. it has excellent front pans and 75% of the trunk is excellent-but nothing there where the body mounts were. Sad, I like having the thing around so much, I still get thoughts of another rebuild. Ted
i have looked at the chevy converts as well as 2 and 4dr cars i have looked at pontiac the same way friend has a few olds full size around as well the olds matches up perfectly including all indentations in the pans i have found a 4dr car that has good pans but measures up just like 1 inch difference from my convert i am going to make the diffence up with a little fab its taking time but getting there the older starfires are like the same car except outer sheet metal and running gear bucket mounts and councel mounts in the center with the same brackets as well will keep you in touch on this time thats what it seems to be taking Greg :TU: the gs was buy the complete car for $3000 all rusted out or leave it alone i left it alone
Welcome to the '65 club Ted!! I'm a newbe as well....I found this one in February being parted out on e-bay. Fortunately, I was able to make a deal before anything was sold off of it. I made him a blind offer, without even seeing it....Here's my first sight of the car:
