Hey Arno, I was stationed at Pendelton Barracks, just a short walk from the armor outfit. We used to walk over there to get a hair cut or go to the movies sometimes. That 3rd aromor barracks is where Elvis spent a little time when he was in Germany, you ever hear that rumor? Man, it is a small world huh? Who would have ever thought that I would have a Buick buddy in Giessen 30 years after I left there? This is starting to make my mouth water for some GB beer! Mike

Elvis was stationed most of the time in Friedberg(I was told),he neighborhood who remembered him well, because he often repaird the cars Elvis drove-he had the pictures showing him and Elvis together,Elvis in varius cars,Elvis in army outfit and many more.Should have made copies of them, because the old mecanic died about 5 years ago and his relatives thrown everything away he owned-even torn down the house and shop he woked in-to make room for a new house they can't even pay off... Too bad you couldn't have got to those Elvis pictures, they would be worth mucho marks with todays collector market. I tried about every beer they had but that GB was the best. I left many a guest house with my coaster full of x's if you know what I mean. Man we had some good times! Wish you well with your Buick, don't give up on it, it's worth any investment you make in it, but you allready know that. Take Care, Catch You Later, Mike
