Yea I was there with the Century, sorry to say but I don't remember meeting you though. There were 7 or 8 of us Buick guys there that night. I remember the announcer saying something about all the buicks there that night. If I still had my job I would be getting around 10-12k in bounus and I would have had to think hard about your Electra, but no job, no bonus, so no Buicks. Sorry about jacking your thread Bryan
I for sure love my Electra. :bglasses: And I think they look good, and also a very practical family enthusiast car. :TU:
Your Electra is a cool car, Per :TU: Sweden's new gansta pimp cruizar :bglasses: !! I noticed that you have Buick 225 Electra Limited in your signature, did the 1976 Electra Limited still use the 225 destination ? I thought they changed to two series, named Electra 225 and Electra Limited for the 1976 modelyear ? :TU:
I think you are right about that. :TU: And please, not too offend any Swede, but I am from Norway. :Brow: But I actually I have only about a 2 hours drive to the Swedish border.
I just read Vince's topic about the Skylark from Sweden, maybe that's why I have the two of you mixed up..... ou: Let's call it: Scandinavia's new gansta pimp cruizar :bglasses: !!
practically speaking there isn't any demand for these cars in the US unless you can find a 'brotha' who wants to convert it to a pimpmobile. i think 10-15k would be a bit steep even for them although they'd spend 50k tricking it out once they had it. uzzled: if she can get her original purchase price back out of it she'll probably be doing good.
oh yeah she'll be making a profit as long as she doesn't give it away. she inherited the car for one dollar! and even at that her mother bought it new in 75 so i doubt that it cost that much to begin with. anyone know what a car like that would have sold for new in the 70s?
