Your rivi ones look just like these- Looks like you may need a GS manifold or pair unless you want to get more creative

well NO Ted, and John..these 65 GS Riviera wont work either... they appear the same as the Wildcat manifolds I sent in the earlier post above. :Do No: Sorry but, I've run out of helpful options on my end. :spank: Sheeesh. Wheelz, Tampa Bay

well...on second thought....I have a 65 GS vert in storage...I have new club ceramicoated headers for THAT car restoration..whenever THAT will be...anyway John...YOU need 65 GS ONLY exhaust manifolds...and obviously much sooner than I will..so, IF...and I'm prolly crazed-in-the-head for even offering..but, IF I remove both exhaust manifolds from my 65 GS vert...THEY'RE NOT FOR SALE MIND YOU....AND YOU PROMISE TO REPLACE THEM!!! I'll send them to you BUT..you gotta replace them YA HEAR!? Do ya wanna discuss this option IF no one else comes thru?? Wheelz, Tampa Bay

    Wheelz,
I will hold on for a couple of daze to see if anyone else can come through. I am a man of my word - in fact Telriv is supposed to drop by today with a rear-sump nailvalve oil pan. I borrowed one from a guy in PA. with the promise that I would replace it. I paid more then I wanted to for this pan, but I did promise that I would replace it. If I do take you up on it, I will replace it (even if Ihave to take it off the truck to return it). This is just the kinda promise that I would prefer not to make - being honest is a PIA.
I REALLY appreciate all the help!
    Best,

    :idea2: Wheelz,
As I am getting old and decrepit I probably have that old person's brain disease (I can't remember it's name). You mentioned "Club ceramicoated headers". If these fit the Skylark GS, are they more or less the same shape as the GS manifolds? Is it possible that they might work for my truck? Are they still available? Any info. will be greatly appreciated.

John...I bought my nailhead headers about 5 years ago from a club member who had them ready to install, but apparently sold the car before doing so.. I will have to get the manufacturing info for you....they are tucked away in my storage unit that I will be emptying soon. Untill I can get you the answers you need, you may want to ask Jim Burek of PAE Performance, EL Paso Texas or Carmen Faso J&C parts, Tacawackaconda? NY (716) 693-4090 about aftermarket nailhead headers...NOT 100% sure, but I would think THEY MAY know what would work on your particular application! :Smarty: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Yea THATS IT! ....muffler bearings!!...and did you know they come in 6 different self oiling ring sizes??? :TU:  wooohooo!

Ok John...here ya go. I had to drive up to my storage unit today..(explanation to come soon :ball: ) anyway, When I was there, I grabbed my NEW club nailhead headers I had stored...here are some pix for you to stare at. MAYBE this type header will work?? They are made to fit 65-66 GS A body cars....

    Wheelz,
They are beautiful, but I think my center crossmember would interfere. I think that I will continue looking for a GS manifold. I may very well take you up on your very kind offer.

I have a set of the GS club reproduction headers for the 65 & 66 GS that I would like to get rid of. Will send you pictures if you are interested.
I bought them for a 66 Riviera and never installed them, they are still in the box.

Hi Walt..from everything I've learned recently...(which really isn't a whole lot!) Rivi headers will present the same "cross member" issues John is already facing... I COULD BE WRONG??:Do No: .... perhaps :kodak: PIX would help? Just a thought! Wheelz, Tampa Bay

    To WAlt and Topcat,
Thanks for the photos. Due to circumstances beyond my control I will be unable to get to my truck until Wednesday, August 6. I will take some measurements then to see if the headers shown have any chance of fitting. I can extrapolate dimensions from the photos. I'll get back to you ASAP after that.
    Thanks!

Ok John..hope you're ready...AND ME?? well, I cant believe I'm doing this.:Dou: .but what-the-heck..here goes....the first few pix are to show the condition of these exhaust manifolds...no cracks, no busted mounts, and you can even see some of the original casting number! At one time, I had them blasted and painted in VHT Hi Temp 1500 manifold grey paint...Yea, they're pretty nice. :TU: HOWEVER..you can see the flange studs will have to either be re-threaded (from old rust) OR..drilled out and tapped... Whatever works for you!! :beer I MADE a box from another box, that was prolly made from some other box...well anyway...because these manifolds are heavy, I figured just packing them in P'nuts would NOT sufficiently hold and keep them from banging each other during the trip..so I bought a sheet of 1/4 inch particleboard grade plywood...cut it to fit in the box TIGHTLY! I then strapped these heavy manifolds ONTO that board... It MAY BE Overkill?? :Do No: Better be safe than...well you know. Anyway, I am going to take this to UPS tomorrow to make sure they will accept it, as I will insure these for $500 ...sometimes UPS is soo finicky...I just want to make sure they KNOW and can SEE what they're insuring! :) If they approve of my packaging technique, I will completely fill the box with shipping P'nuts and send it off to you while I'm there...Then I will send you tracking info and the total shipping costs...Hows that sound? :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
