Please let us know a paypal account where we can send a little something to help you get over this hurdle life has thrown your way. DO NOT think of it as charity ... or whatever - we're your friends and want to help you through this tough time. Thats what friends are for

BTW, I yanked my alt. yesterday after we talked and took it to pep boyz and it checked out OK so thats not my problem ... but I still want one of yours when your all set up again. We need you Buddy :beer

Wow, I can't imagine what you're feeling. Hang in there and I echo Alan's comment about contributing to a Paypal account. This is all one big family and we need to take care of each other!

Maybe I am being paranoid but I would ask a moderator to remove this post. If you did have homeowners insurance I don't think they would look kindly upon the mention of "workshop" and "solvent tanks" combined with you being a vendor on the board. If the property was insured as a business and you had flammable storage cabinets then that's a different story. Glad your ok and would hate to see you not get money because of some insurance loophole.
    Good Luck

As Jamie has started this thread, all he has to do is delete his initial post and the entire thread goes bye-bye. He doesn't need a moderator. Hopefully, his insurance is applicable, and he gets all the compensation he is entitled to.

Jamie, I am very happy to hear that you are okay. It was great meeting you last year when you purchased the Bronco. You surely are a stand up guy and I am sorry to see that bad luck came your way. We've all had close calls and this kind of thing can happen to any of us (heck, I almost lost my Skylark this past winter when some dude lit the storage units on fire - on purpose!). But it sounds like you're dealing with this well. I will be sending something your way via Paypal.

BTW, no mention of the Bronco; did it survive?

    Best wishes.

What happened to cause the submersible pump to flash the solvent in the tank? Is there something to learn there we all should watch out for? I have a parts washer in my garage with a submersible pump in it.

Sorry to see this. Most of all, we're glad nobody was injured. On the bright side in addition to the house being spared, there's no clean up like the one that a fire causes a person to have- pretty much everything gets thrown out without the dilemma of "will I ever use this".

Jamie- I can only echo everyone else's sentiments here- it's great that you are safe- so sorry for your losses. That really a tragedy.
