It's pretty easy if you have them saved on your computer, just scroll down to the "attach File" box and click "browse", find your picture and attach it...I think the max size is 800X800...Good luck! Let's see the pics!:TU:
Not Bad, it looks like you're off to a good start. Keep posting pics as it starts to take shape..Oh and if you're ok with it use at least your first name...everyone here is real friendly and names help..Good luck:beer
My name is Eric, My father-in-law Scott and I purchased the car together in hopes we could bring her back to life!
Funny you mention that, Jerry. While driving for about 6 hours today from Bend, OR back home, I was thinking about how I would like to put gauges in the Skylark. I was thinking about putting some in the dummy plate since the car doesn't have a rear window defroster. I'm not sure that I'd block the vent off though, but it would answer the question of what to do if I have more gauges than space!
Eric was asking @ the GENERAL INFORMATION area if you guys thought the lid on the air breather was stock. I'd have to say no, as if I remember my '70 GS correctly, it covered the air filter completely. But then again, that was many moons ago. Jim
Welcome to Arizona Jim!:beer ... Well Eric from the looks of it I'd say you shouldn't have a problem restoring that car. It looks pretty complete you have a grille and good bumpers everything else you need can be found on this board, if it's not here someone here can help you find it. :TU:
Thanks for the welcome:beer I dont know alot about the Buick GS I am more a Chevy guy BUT,I love the way these cars look! I didnt even know there was susposed to be a vent where those aftermarket guages are.lol I kinda figured out that the chrome cover on the air cleaner want stock, what i was wondering is if any stock lid will fit it? The car is not in too bad of shape and with alot of money and serious time it will be a nice cruiser! I will pay closer attention to the board to find the misc parts i need. thanks for the welcome, Eric:laugh:
I believe that this is an ohio car. Like i said before the car has been sitting for around 15yrs. But believe it or not the brake lines are still solid:laugh: ,thats not to say I would trust them very much! I was looking at the interior and noticed some rust on the floorboards that was worse off than I had origanlly thought :ball: but I cant really complain for a car that is 30+ yrs old. My uncle told me the car came with a vynl top, and also said the Holley carb was orignal, but I was aking on the board and they said that the Holley carb was a "stage 2" option. Now does that mean that no 350 GS's came with a Holley carb? What is the "stage 2" option, was this the 455 motor option? He (my uncle) told me that the 350 had 315hp does that sound right to anyone? Any info would be greatly appericiated Thanks Eric:TU:
I'm not the expert but I think the 350 came with a Q-jet like the big block. The Stage 2 was an option on the 455. I saw you were looking for a Grille? Treat the one you have like gold, they are had to come by and not cheap. 315 HP is right for the 70 GS 350.
 I'm glad to know that something is worth something on this car I have been looking on e-bay for some of the parts I need, but have had no luck:af: Where is a good cheap place to get foam replacements for the air cleaner? I was also trying to find to find a place where I can get the grill fixed at. There are a couple of holes in it, and by the looks of it, I'm not ready to throw down 800$ on a grill if I can get this one fixed at a reasonable price:ball: If there is anyone who has a grill that is beyond repair and still has good pieces let let me know please:ball: I want to cruise this beast so bad that I can taste it:3gears: Thanks Eric
If you do some searches you should be able to find something on repairing the grille, as for the foams I got mine from Year One but I've seen them advertised in the Poston Enterprises catalog and Original parts group. They should be easy. I'll attach a photo of mine. You may also want to take a look around the Buick Performance Group site and www.buickperformance.com. :beer
