Well I thought the tires would make the car look slower, like black tennis shoes on NFL players, but I think it looks kinda mean. Let me know what ya think.
Those tires make it look tougher. I think that you got the opposite of the effect you were going for!
Thanks, I think tires and rims can change a cars attitude; right? I will probably change back to centerlines after I get bored with this look.
thanks Tim, Black is cool but CRAZY how much dust collects on it. As soon as I get done wiping it off there's more dust back where I started.
That looks awesome, I just got a set of doggies off EBay and yesterday I ordered a new set of 15x8 repro steel rims from Summit. What size front rims are you using? I'm leaning towards 6's. I run 275/60 and 225/70 tires and I'm going for the exact look you have except mine will be gold.
Thanks for the props, my front rims are the stock steel 7" ers with 235/60 and the backs are corvette rally steel rims that I believe were 8.5" wide with 28 x 10.5 mickey thompsons. I had to make mounting brackets to hold the poverty caps on the corvette rims, which gave me the look I wanted. Lets see yours when your all set up. I would never bet bored with this look. Love it. Please post your results from the track :TU: Good luck.
Looks great, quick question, who made those tailpipes? I'm redoing the exhaust on my 72 and want those, I like how its turned down like that, and most pipes dont do that, thanks
exhaust almost looks something like this.: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PYE-PVD10/?rtype=10 Although I think those specific parts would turn down more so like the ends on mine, but if you cut the tips back a bit you could get that look.:bglasses:
wow yours looks cool too! I am running 3" mandrell bent system from the GSCA. The tail pipes are that system with just a straight cut at the end however they turn down just before the bumper. The other option is called a bologna (spelling??) cut pipe like the one from summit you see from urbancowboys post. With the bologna cut pipe it does turn down but you see more of the top of the pipe rather than the exhaust hole. (which I like the look of, better) Hope that helps ya, and good luck with your car.
