It starts with cars, has cars thru the entire film, and ends with cars. It's not one chase scene, but rather cars and racing are a way of life for the characters in the film.

You might think they stole it from Bullitt but at least they got rid of the STUPID " Double Clutching " sound effects . That ruined the Bullitt chase scene .
