By the end of this quarantine and virus I’ll have a set of small valve 72 heads that have been flow tested at a machine shop to verify flow numbers, and then a valve job, new guides, etc done to get them ready to go. Price will depend on the numbers, and pictures of the port work. Tentatively, with tools and valve job, looking like I’ll sell em for less than $800, unless the flow numbers are real good. Just trying to get my investment back out of em, time is almost free right now. In Canton, CT.
Are you keeping them small valve,or upgrading with the porting? A small-valve head is ideal to start with because you can remove what you want where you want. You just can’t put it back,if it isn’t there, like a larger valve head. I will get inline.
Roughing in the bowl shape I’m looking for, not done yet, and waiting for more carbide bits to arrive next week.
Heads will hopefully be ready to be boxed and shipped or delivered if nearby within 3 weeks if my machine shop is still up and running. Heads will get a standard valve job and will be flowed on the bench.
So not the best news, but the heads cleaned up real well. 225 max intake flow and 166 exhaust flow, but the low lift numbers look very solid due to the quality valve job. The heads cc’ed at 71.5 ccs. They are a fresh set of heads that I’ll post the flow card when I get it on Tuesday. I have a number in mind, $600, but what would you pay for them? PM me if you want to offer.
