John - if you don't mind a bit of a drive, the Thursday cruise-in at Hebert's in Shrewsbury (just east of Worcester) is very good - usually 250-350 cars. There is the Wachusetts Old Car Club meet on Sunday Aug. 3 - Buick is the featured marquee for this year based on the 100 year anniversary. The local MMC is organizing a Buick parade into the show from Route 2 (see MMC newsletter or web site for details).

First time for me at this show - I have heard that they typically have a turnout of at least 200 cars - we'll see.

    Kimball's Cruise-In

For anyone looking for a cruise nite in MA....

I went to the Kimball's Farm cruise-in Westford, MA this past Thursday and it was really a lot of fun. There were about 200-225 cars of all vintage. Nice parking area in a large flat field.
There is also a barbeque tent with GREAT food (burgers, dogs, bbq chicken, corn on the cob, watermelon, etc), and of course, Kimballs is known for some of the best ice cream in the Northeast. They also had a live blues band and feature a different band each week. I think this is the first year for cruise nites in Westford (they have them in NH also), and it has grown from about 50 cars to 200 cars in a month. The Kimball's cruise-in is each Thursday from 6-9PM.

I live just north of Worcester and have a gray 64 coupe w/ 462 (the air cleaner says 350 - most don't know what it is!). I get to Heberts's a few times each year - it gets really crowded if you aren't there by 7. Trans is coming out of the car again but when it's back in I will try to catch Kelly's and/or Kimballs as well. There's also a cruise at the Auburn Sportsmens Club right off Rt 20 in Auburn on Friday's - it's the old Sam's Club gang.

    69 in Bellingham,MA

Just stumbled into this cool tread. I'm a new member born and raised in Brockton, Ma now living in Bellingham last 5 years. We might have a few stories Ray Therrien to exchange ? I would be interested in joining you guys at what ever shows /meets come up. I usually go to Riley's and now that I see the pictures of others members cars that I have seen at shows wish I had known about this website earlier to meet the owners. I have had my GS clone now for 18 yrs. Anybody know who owns a light blue black top convert GS approx. 70-72 ? I have seen this car twice now recently on rt128 getting off at the Waltham exit at 6:30 am. Car looks way cool. You can tell the owner I'm the guy beeping his horn in a red pickup as he gets off the exit.

    Doyle,
I saw your post eariler looking for 66/67 skylarks. There are two sitting in a junkyard in Carver Mass side by side. Let me know if you still need parts and I can send directions.

Hey Ray, how's things? What's your Garage looking like these days? I'm wondering if you have a new baby in there:Brow:

A Massachusetts event would be really good. I hate winter already and it's supposed to flurry tomorrow. Owing to my piece of, um, junk Taurus, my convertible is still on the road! Looking forward to the spring is about all that's keeping me sane right now:shock:

andover is right down the street from me, is your dads car green with a white top? if so i've seen it and i love 71 green cars

  17. gdbuick- I think I saw you leaving Heberts in Shrewsbury back in June in your 69. From your pic it sure looked like your car. I live in Millbury and am frequently in the Bellingham, Mendon area. I am thinking of having Mike's Motors in Mendon do my 455 when it comes apart.

John from Palmer- I noticed the article in Hemmings and found the address and #
    7 Lenora Worc.

I work in Palmer on occasion(for Comcast) and saw an old thread asking for yards in Western MA, I know ludlow auto salvage on Rt 21 has a bunch of 'larks in the yard and Stevens in Charlton has a 73 Riv with the sliding door center console for sale for$2500 but cash talks.

Rob- I know what you mean by no buicks in Granby or parts around, although one Saturday morning on 202 in S. Hadley I saw a 70 GS all jacked up with Cragars and monster shocks looked beat but couldn't follow the guy to bother him. I lost him in traffic

    Mass Buicks

Just recently came across this site while looking for parts for my "new" 71 Skylark Convertable 350 2bbl. My 13 year old son and I bought it as a project car. What a project! At least it runs.

We're in Littleton, visit Kimballs often. There is a cruise nite on Fridays in Lemonster (maybe Fichburg) near the civic center with lots of great cars. May want to take a closer look at some of your cars to see what it really should look like when we're done....

    Hebert's

As some of you are probably aware, Hebert's was recently sold. It will be interesting to see if they will continue the Thurs. nite Cruise'Ins. The cruise-ins were supported and promoted by Jeannie Hebert and now that she and the rest of the Hebert family are gone, I wonder what will happen????

    Paul,
My car has yet to make it over to Hebert's so that was not me.

Interesting about it being sold as it was on my list to make it there.
