I like the comment about "saving" them is synonymous with "ridding the world" of them. Unfortunately, it is not restricted to Mopar people. My next door neighbor is letting a Chevy El Camino rot into the ground in his back yard because he could not get the exorbitant price that he wanted for it. It has been sitting - not even with a tarp over it, for about three years and it's condition has not improved during that period. It's still salvageable, but I wouldn't pay much for it now. I'd post a photo, but I'm 1,500 miles away from it right now.

They never made a '69 Superbird.

Maybe 1970,71,72,73,74,75 etc. Point of the story is that it's a car, pointy front, huge wing on the back, all original, worth allot of money and "how it's just rotting away".

I rememeber when I though that Overhauling was the greatest show when it came out as it was one of the first of it's kind giving attention to classic cars. Now there are so many that I just kind of glaze over as I do not like how they build in thier self imposed deadlines to build drama. When I first saw the ads for this show I thought it had promise as I liked that they seemed to really know Mopar's well and would work to find the history and pedigree of the car which I find interesting.

Saw one episode and agree, this guy is an a$$, - back to glazed over.

I enjoy his attention to detail and relentless passion. His knowledge is limitless and guys like this are necessary to carry on these American muscle icons. Keep in mind that running a business is stressful and the subtle (and not so subtle nuisances) of any personality is bound to surface.

He's certainly a little goofy (small in stature but big on ego) but not half the ass that Duane from the late Boyd Coddington's show was. That fellow and I would only last half a day at best. These guys, other than using a rattle can a little too much, seem to do nice work and the show is more realistic than most. I'd give it a thumbs up.

You hit the nail on the head with DUANE, (from American Hotrod) He acts like a real asshole and would have gotten his ass kicked at our shop:spank:

I do not think no matter how high the quality the restoration that some rattle canning can be avoided. There is just no way around unless you are willing to really break the bank.

I can't stand the guy either. What really tweaks me is this constant "boxing" postures and references to knocking people out, or throwing weak-azz punches. Can someone explain that to me? I mean, what does he hope to accomplish?

I do have to give him SOME credit however, as he does seem to be pretty knowledgeable about Mopars. Doesn't give him license to talk down to people in his nauseatingly condescending tone and posturing. He treals a lot of people like they are dirt.

But it does make you wonder.... Is he really like that, or is at least part of this show's "reality" storylines scripted to make him look like a mental bully?

One of these days an employee, client or complete stranger is going to take him up on his weak-azz posturing, and kick his ass so hard he'll be wearing it for a hat. I'd like to see him get hit so hard in the jaw he'll be sipping his meals through a straw. Maybe he'll finally learn something.

Now there's a story line....someone knock him out and we can all watch his hospital stay and impending long recovery. I'd tune in for that one !!! :TU:

Can somebody explain the vinyl graphics on a Chevy van choice? The first client he had come in after it was done questioned it. Watching Mark and Darrin interact with Holley (spelling?) is nothing short of hilarious. Mark speaks to her in riddles and Darrin can't muster a sincere word to her. It's become my favorite show. If they'd just show more of the bodywork process I'd be completely entertained. Oh yea, and what's with trying to squeeze mostly completed, beautiful cars through that tiny roll up door in the shop????

The first time I watched it, Marks constant trash talk got really annoying but I was impressed with his knowledge of the details and the finished cars. The more I've seen though, the ball busting is just his shtick. I will say this though, if they drop one more car by having a jack slip off the cross member while they are trying to move it, I'm gonna flip my lid...

I was watching it last night. It can get a little tiring listening to Mark's constant showmanship of how intelligent he is. But they do produce some beautiful cars and their attention to detail is amazing. There are very few cars that can pull off the color purple, but the Challenger is one of them. That 1 of 1 Plum Crazy sunroof Challenger is gorgeous. I'm not a Mopar guy by any means, but give me a 'Cuda, a '69 Charger, or Challenger and I for sure wouldn't push it out of the driveway. They are sexy is their own way for sure.

I totally disagree. What is ironic, is that is the very reason I tune out. My wife can't stand this moron and I agree with her. Overhauling had none of that and has lasted a decade. Will this show be around in 10 years? I wonder. That type of snot nosed TV has low appeal to a lot of people. I don't question the quality of their work. There's a lot of very talented a-holes out there.

I love the show. A friend is getting his all original 426 hemi Charger redone on this show and the work is fantastic on his car. He did say that they are not like the show in real life and all get along.

I am a Mopar guy and love my cars.. Heck my Buick is parked behind my roll up door for my shop that has the Mopar logo painted on it.

I like any car that is not the norm.. That is why I gave up my 10.5 camaro to get my buick...
