Besides the guys yapping, what is up with the charger? Looking at @ 2:38 in the video "Charger Photo Shoot VLOG" the rear end looks like it is set back too far...maybe it's just me? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fxl8zIqbwL4&list=UUxhSx0g_xINbv5vfvKbLvBw&index=1
IMO He is an idiot, obnoxious in his mannerisms. I watch the show for the restorations. He seems to love what he is doing and is restoring cars....... even though they are mopars. Just my .02 but I never understood the appeal. Good friend of my step dads was a mopar freak. We still love him but never understood. 40 yrs of dodge or plymouth 440 this 383 that hemi whatever. He is now racing an LS3 go figure. [we still love ya Les!] carry on. p
You are correct . Especially when he says , " Yeah its a 426 Hemi " and points to the 6.1 on the hood. " 6.1 yeah its a 426 hemi. ". Its more like a 372 Hemi.
He is / can be an iddiot, BUT they do some good work from what I have seen... They are real big on getting it "Just Like Factory", others wouldn't do what they do...
To me, he's just like Steve Carell's character Michael Scott on the Office. I don't care for their interaction but I like seeing what they do with the cars.
If I worked for that guy he would have had my boot up his ass after the first day. I hate bosses who talk to people that way. Who in the hell do they think they are??? I had to deal with asses like that when I was a kid working and did not know any better. One of them almost killed me when he mixed bleach and ammonia and had me wash the floor in the basement. I have no idea how I did not pass out? When I was a kid I thought you had to just take that crap. If you join the military then you can expect that crap. From a civilian no way. He can go to hell. Even my wife got upsest with the way he was treating people. Why don't they make a show with some rational people restoring GM cars??
Mopar guys are strange loto No: Their the worst ones to have a backyard/field/hillside covered with cool/rare cars rotting into the ground. And most of the time they were good running/driving cars before they got parked under a tree for 30 yearso No: Theres a fine line between love and hate... Because their idea of ''saving them'' looks an awfull lot like ''ridding the world of them''ou:
Thats an aftermarket shaker hood and emblem , all SRT 8's were 6.1,425 HP [370.5 ci ] until 2010 , in 2011 they increased the displacement to 392 CI ,[6.4] [470 HP ] . RT's all have 5.7's . Chuck
That is correct. They add the extra drama and BS into the show so people will tune in. If they just filmed it with everyone acting normal, no one would watch it
"I, 2nd that comment.. They have way to much drama and spend to much time on there petty issues and none on the true car there building. After watching 3-4 episodes, told self, "even if i was in the position to afford it, i wouldn't even consider them" !
You are right, Jason. I remember Harrison Ford saying that he never watches "reality" TV because nothing could be further from reality. After finding firsthand that one "reality" show was a total fraud, I no longer watch them either.
Ok get your flame throwers out. . . I think he plays it up for the camera - yes, BUT he has a very subtle sarcastic way about him that most folks who don't know him think he is being serious. Most of the times when he "yells" and calls the other guys stupid, moron etc. he is kidding with them and they know it. That's why they are smiling most of the time when he has his tirade. I do this with my close friends (Jason can attest) I'll yell at them "Get back to work you loafer, I am paying you nothing, and you sit around. . .blah blah blah..." . We also have our own language for things, tell each other how "awesome" and "great" we are (a little self deprication). I think that is what is mostly going on here and he is just haming it up for the camera. They do beautiful work and seem to love what they do. I am mildly entertained and it is better than watching sit-coms with canned laughter. As for MOPAR guys- yeah they are just like Buick guys passionate about THEIR chosen brand. Let's be honest the real wierdos are the AMC guys:grin: Just my .02
"So true", Uncle has back home, has and is first owner of a 1969 superbird all original. Now sitting behind his house, sitting on blocks, with a barely piece of car cover over it. original wheels and tires in shed. old lawnmower under the front of it and numerous, boxes of old junk under the rear. (House so small, that when on highway in front of house, if you look closely you can see the wing on the car in the back yard..) will not sell or allow anyone to touch, actually gets an atitude if anyone mentions it.. got possibly a 30 thousand car parked behind a 20 thousand house.. Sad..
