:gp: This could very well describe my life with my wife as well, although she doesn't deer hunt Then again, neither do I. The real point, Emily, is that we spend time together. It's about a new adventure, seeing new things and meeting new people together, not just about going to pick up more parts for the car. My wife and I have been together since high school and we're now 55 years old. Consider joining a car club if you don't belong to one already. It's a great way to meet people with a common interest and build relationships in other areas. Most of our best friends have been the result of meeting them through the old cars. The car community is full of wonderful people, and if you have any doubt about that just spend a little time at the computer and read right here at V8Buick. Christmas may be the official season of giving but the folks right here give on a daily basis. They share valuable advice and experiences and it's not all car related but it did begin because of their love for cars, and Buicks, of course :TU: Have a safe and happy holiday season. Bill
just get your own car and make him work on it then if he's not talking to you he is atleast working on somthing for you thats my wifes policy. I have been told it better go 9.90 this or i'm in troubleray: . we shall seeheres a pick of her car
As a guy that has been married for 38 years, I can say David is right on, one of my fondest memories of the early days with Jeanne is her being under neath the 64 Lark with me helping me get the 442 big block bolted up for the initial start up.... then down thru the years she has gone to events with me... and even now helps me in the shop when I need it... We both team teach a class at church,,, and so on... where you see one of us , you usually can find the other one.... she is the best friend that i have ever had... share what you do ,,, share your life....
im with Bob, but yourself a car and have Cason work on it. my wife bought her own skylark and i was the lucky one who got to work on it. she goes with me to the race track every weekend and we go to the Buick events together. she will sometimes go with me to pick up another car or some parts or swap meets. quality time:laugh:
Pssstt,Cason...she hasn't found the hidden secret"members only"porn section of the board yet has she?:Brow: uzzled:
If all of those girls he always talks to on here see's this, they might get upset that he has a girlfriend.
By the sound of her posts she hasn't....yet. Cason better take her out to dinner and hope he smooths things over so she doesn't come back to look for it.ray:
My ex wife HATED cars. We had been married 18 years. Have been divorced for 2 and I was over here showing my daughter my new 65 Riviera I am fixing to start putting back togather, and I hear, That is a NICE car, why didn't you build those while we were married instead of those loud ugly ones you built? I have been over here all weekend. And the Riviera is still getting 3" exhaust with Flowmasters.
I think what makes it work for Jen and I is that we both have our own interests that occupy most of our free time. I think thats inportant for a relationship to survive. I head to the garage, she heads to the barn.
Wanna chat more with him? Just keep posting on V8 like you are doing. He will chime in if it's a good Buick topic. If he doesn't chat, someone here will. Buick people are good people! LOL
Wow! A lot of truth in here. I too have loved cars longer then (I have loved women). I too have to put up with horses - who eat even when they are not being used. My wife is not a car buff. We have reached an agreement; she seldom asks me to go shopping with her, I never ask her to go to a car show or race. The next anniversary will be #40, so I guess it works. Emily - He ain't gonna change, love Cason as the car guy he is, or move on. Whoja rather be married to; Leno or Letterman?
It's now a fact. V8Buick is now not only an excellent source for automotive information but also a great place to get relationship advice. BTW- Cason, why haven't you put in a big block yet?
I thought about changing my avatar to a picture of my girlfriend and then claiming Cason as my man. :eek2: :bla:
Great thread, really! My wife just shakes her head everytime she see's me on V8! She wonders how much i could possible real about Buicks. She does not realize how extensive the search function is. I tell her atleast i am not looking at porn!
