Looks like a scam?

I got an email showing a new conversation started with me from a paula 211. It looks the same as other conversation notices I have recieved in the past. I don't remember ever seeing a board member with that name. The link with it shows what looks like some sort of dating site. Also, it doesn't show up when clicking on the conversations on v8buick. I didn't open the email, but wanted to inform others on here that there might be another scammer trying to mess with people on here.

I got one from "Molly2112". Probably "BikerFox" or some other perv.

A lot of forum software can be compromised. All that is needed is to obtain a copy (many have trial periods), and the know how of figuring out a way to access a server hosting the software.
Once done, hacking legit sites using that exploit is fairly simple.

 

I see there are several threads about it now, but I didn't know until after I started this thread.

I'm glad you and others are trying to make sure everybody is aware of what's going on. Good to have "big brothers" watching out for us!

 

So those pretty ladies on Face book may also be a scam?? Guess I will stay married.
