She gave me an early anniversary gift, because I've been so bummed about selling my 69 les paul:Brow: It's detailed down to the burns in the headstock from his cig
Chris Whare did she ever find a gift like that? I would rank that gift up there with a 70 GSX stage1 4 speed.:beer
They are custom built by a guy in Austin, TX Has a Warmoth Neck with Jumbo Frets, Texas Specials that have been rewound and all wiring mods Done EXACTLY like SRV's strat I'm So excited I can't stand it:jd: I have a 63 Fender Bandmaster head with a mid 60's Dual Showman cab, a vintage cry baby and tube screamer and I suddenly become Stevie. I need to get a glass case to keep it in when I'm not playing so the kids dont get ahold of it like my autographed Dick Dale strat. :spank: Got a few scratches on that one.
Chris that is AWESOME! That wife must be a "keeper", huh?! One of my biggest regrets is selling my guitars and equipment in my senior year of high school. My soon-to-be wife "convinced" me.......I should have dumped her right then rather than waiting until four years of marriage later.ou: P.S........I've got a "keeper" now, too! 24 years and going strong!:TU:
:jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: OMG!!!!!!!!!! Man, all I got Dana was a hood tach. Your wife is way cool. :TU: :TU: :TU: I must say, that man was taken way before his time Beth
Not yet Kurt. It's a bit chilly out 1 degree with the wind chill it's -12 & no heat in the garage BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Beth
We got you beat by another 20 degrees or so. We'll send it along your way! Man......I was in the Chicago area for the last three days.....cold, but bearable....I took off from O'Hare, then landed in Minneapolis......BBBRRRRRRRRR!!!:eek2:
So Chris, Is this a/the repro of Stevie's guitar that I read about in Guitar Player just a few months ago?
I don't if it's the same, these are made by a guy named Don Alfano. Cost is $975, each one is hand built by him. Found him on ebay
Yikes woman....I've been driving the car all week...might take the bike to work tomorrow, it's suppose to get in the high 50s
Hey Kurt, :moonu:   Cole, Yes you have us beat, I hear it's pretty cold up by you something like -15, what is it with the wind chill? My teeth are chattering just thinking about it, I better go turn up the heat. Beth
But the good thing here is that the wagon is sitting comfortably in a 65* heated shop.. under a cover.. And I got your Care package today too! I did as you requested.. Stay warm, JW
Thanks Jim, Glad you got the package also, maybe we'll come up by you when it's a balmy +10 or +15. Cole, we are only about 15 - 20 min from O'Hare, if we would have known you were there we would have shot off a flare for ya. Stay warm everyone Beth
Sorry Chris for turning your SRV thread into weather. Consider it an homage to "Couldn't Stand the Weather" Beth
