Ought be interesting -- decided to put it out there and see if there are any serious buyers. Did find out for sure from Wayne that it is the only 70 GSX built with front drum brakes and it is in fact the last GSX stick car built.
Hate to see that one go John. Hopefully it'll bring out some heavy hitters. Good luck with the auction.
Gsx John, Gorgeous looking "X". My 72 Stage 1 convt. is about "done", finally!!!! If you get up to SW Michigan anytime soon, stop in and we will take a drive. It has been a 4 year labor of love & money. Upstaged in Michigan.
Good luck John. Tough time of year to sell a car, but that's not just a car!!! I hope you get a bundle. Patrick
Awesome that the convertible is almost done! Patrick, I am in no hurry at all to sell the car but I was thinking that right now might be the BEST time to put it out there as the BJ auction is in a few weeks and buyers from around the world will be coming to the States and probably nosing around on E Bay too! It's perfectly fine if it doesn't sell, but figured I'd try to give it the best window of opportunity I could. Want to link it to the Mopar board for me? Anyone else, if you can think of places to link the auction to, please do so. Corvette boards, AARP, Dupont registries, etc, etc.. let's get creative... anywhere we can think of to show the world our classy Buicks and they better get themselves one now!
I'd be happy to link it to the Mopar board!!! That's one place where the Buicks get alot of good words. I would expect the same with this car. Again, good luck John. Patrick
Done!! Good luck John. Patrick http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=3187698&an=0&page=0#Post3187698
Another good spot to post it.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat= Everyone else... Take a look at what is selling on this site!!! SOme pretty rare and EXPENSIVE cars/ parts :eek2: :eek2:
Here's one in Quebec,Canada ... in french  http://amateurdebeauxchars.forumactif.com/viewtopic.forum?t=2955 John is this 70 a Stage 1 , stick car ?
The X car is a non stage 4speed. Not to speak for John, but I'm sure thats right. The brown car in front is a Stage 1 but not sure of the tranny on it.
Yes, Eddie, you're right. And, the brown car is auto on column. About my favorite car out of all of them and that one will be for sale when they pry my cold, dead fingers off it. :beer Anyone know how to translate French? That'd be interesting!
Translation OKay but I'm out of practice... 1: The next to last built GSX (677/678) and the last one 4 speeds (M-20) in 1970 and it is the only GSX that has disc brakes! Car originating of a private collection. 2: It seems not poorly beautiful Did you notice in background of a photo a Buick 1970 beige one, I imagine a GS 3: Yes and I would put a p'tit 2$ that this is a GS Stage 1, the guy is a big collector, of Buick in particular 4: Good day this is a GS Training 1 It seem to me that while reading it is not a stage 1. My English is not perfect but good. For once, one visible with mileage and that is well kept, one would say that the world when it restores their voiture,on tendency to put back the faces to zero. (My translation is weak on this one. Any help?) To finish, is pretty and she would interest me but not to this price! 5: Yes the GSX on eBay is not a Stage 1, I suppose that the 70 beige one that one sees on 2 or 3 photos might be 6: not well understand 7: Small beautiful power house as background 8: A house of poor one
I would suggest that someone also post this car on Yenko.net. Alot of rare and high $$ cars hang out there. Patrick
e-bay link " ( the last one built, as an aside, was a non Stage 1 automatic car which has never surfaced. If it does exist somewhere, I would still bet money that this one is more valuable!) " " it is the only 1970 GSX built with front power drum brakes" uzzled:
