We did a survey at a major American car owners board in the Netherlands, it turned out that American car owners are not into football at all.
Ask Robert, ask Rob, ask me or ask any other Dutch board member at V8Buick......we don't like football at all.
I'm happy that it all ended so soon :TU:

I have the same size tires on my street legal drag car. I love the look of the 29" tall tire!

Those Hoosier tyres look really BIG, love the look also and most of all the grip they give at the track!

Are they slicks or drag radials? I need another set of wheels for the track but want to be able to drive to the track with them on....

These are full slicks. And there are not really race tires that you can drive on the street in all conditions.
I read a write up of dragradials and the NITTO were the best in wet conditions, the BFG dragradial was second in wet, and the MT ET Streets were like driving on ice.
On dry track, the MT had the best grip, then the BFG and then the NITTO. So take your pick

Yes a giant takeout! The strange thing is they keep coming back for more, put 3 or 4 times more money in there car then I have and/or destroying there engine, trans, drivetrain more then once!

Thanks for the info! The BFG drag radial sounds like the best bet for me in case it rains on the way home from the track. I am planning to trialer my car like you though as I want to beat on the car without worry about driving home. Had to beef up the car to handle the 3800 RPM launches off the trans brake with the turbos spooled...

Transbrake who needs a Transbrake! :Brow:
    A streetcar doesn't have a transbrake :)

3800rpm and the Turbo's (2?) spooling mmm must be a great sound to hear, any idea what the ET times might be?

If it's raining hard, its like driving on ice.. Maybe worse, because no one else knows why you're going 40 in a 50 zone and scared to turn a little.. I never would have believed it till I experienced it..

The only DR's that work in the rain are the Nitto's. When they get worn enough to be a good race tire they too suck in the rain.

Well the car is heavy, about 3800 pounds plus my 130 pound butt! The engine was 398 HP NA however I have since added a single plane intake manifold which is good for about 35 HP, plus better ported heads which put a full weight skylark into the 11.08 range (Buick 350 NA) in the quarter mile. So I estimate 450 HP NA and with the boost it should be plenty of fun! No sacrifices in the streetability of the car. Mild cam, 650 cfm carb modded for boost, ignition controlled by a megasquirt computer, datalogging every aspect of the engine, custom tube headers, twin t3/t4 turbos spool quick, dual 3" exhaust to the bumper, Mosier 12 bolt rear end built for 1200 HP, Th400 built for 1200 HP. I am shooting for mid 10s in the quarter as I only have a 6 point cro-moly cage so I can not run too fast.

The car (70 lark) is going to have two different builds, the first build is with the stock numbers matching 9:1 Buick with ported heads and single plane intake bolted on but still all stock inside, th350 with 2800 stall converter, mosier 12 bolt 3.42.

Then once I drive it for a bit and blow the engine on the chassis dyno at 25 PSI then I will swap in the good engine, trans, and new driveshaft and go for broke using the data gained from the testing with the stock engine. 21 spare engines waiting for spares. I get them for $50 usually!

Just a street car in primer, nothing special really. :Smarty:

nicey nice Gent!...... I really enjoyed the Ricer spankings.

The footprint patch of the taller 29" tire works great in the Stock Eliminator classes here in the states, as most already know.
Glad you found they work on a torque monster such as your BBB. :TU:
