Killed a Skyline and a 11s EVO on an non sprayed track and a new PB

Killed a Skyline and a 11s EVO on an non sprayed track and scared a friend in his 870HP Honda Civic and a new PB on a non sprayed of 11.1 sec.
This was without stalling the car just leaving it idle and hitting the throttle at the start.

Very nice Robert. Also noticed the air cleaner out of the hood, and the wording missing on your doors. Looks like a regular street car now. And, you are knocking on the 10 second door pretty close.

Tnx, yeas removed the sponsor logo, they didn't came true for 2 years now, so it was time to make it a clean car again, most like this look better anyway, I do!
Almost a 10 second run indeed on a non sprayed track. The new Hoosier 29-10x15 tires completed the trans/gearing combo perfectly. Car is now cruising it seems and has no problem driving this times, and revs are down quite a bit.

The aircleaner sticking out, yes needed to chop up the hood, to make room for it, fnally installed the 2 inch cloverleaf spacer under the carb, the engine liked that one on the dyno and added some more horses.

 

The car looks and runs great ! Good work! What tire are you using back there?

Hoosier 29-10x15, almost the same width as a 28-10.5x15 tire but a good inch (29.10 inch to be exact) higher.
They work very well, needed to removing some inner trim metal to be sure the wouln't scuff the tires.

I noticed in your video that you used Rick and his Ford F-250 SD + gooseneck trailer to transport your Skylark :TU:
(Why don't you just drive the car to the track, RDW says it has a valid inspection until April 2014 and insurance ?)



That's a rare truck + trailer combination for the Netherlands, especially with the new side skirts and "Danish rear bumper" with all the lights:

 

Buick fried rice....... Wonder how that tastes? Nice car and videos. Love that 2dr Tahoe in the last picture too.

 

It's registered as a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer (European name), sold new in the Netherlands.
In Mexico it was named the Chevrolet Silverado for 1995, in the rest of North America it changed names from Blazer to Tahoe.

Yes we used Rick to transport us there, your are totally beat after such a raceday, so its nice to have someone drive you home again.

And the car as it is now can only drive for maybe a hour tops, before the oil temp becomes a problem.
This is because of the block is filled 3/4 so oiltemp will become a problem after time.
Saving up for a dry sump system and a big oilcooler.

And even after that I will not drive 160 miles to the track, cause its a race car and something can go wrong you never know.
